    Stick with the 20s. Reasons:

The additional weight of the rear wheels (which will be more than the weight savings from a thinner tire) will raise unsprung weight, resulting in a poorer ride and slower suspension response.

The additional weight will also slightly slow the car's acceleration, not just because it adds to the weight of the car itself, but also because it adds to the moment of inertia of the rotating tire-wheel mass. The latter effect arises because you not only have to accelerate the wheel-tires in a straight line, you also have to get them rotating.

Combined with the 458's stiff springs and available hard shock damping, the possibility of a broken wheel from a pot hole etc. is increased.

^ what he said. I would stick with the stock size. Ferrari puts so much consideration into building each piece of the car to work with all the other parts. You can change the looks and colors of things but keep the sizes the same. It will work best that way

I have 20/21's and don't have a single problem. Not only does it ride like it's stock but the wheels are actually lighter than the stock versions. Stick with 1 piece wheels and you won't have issues. Just don't expect to get a lot of support around here for changing wheels.

One question - did you guys ensure the rolling radius or the total outer circumference of the tires on the 21" wheels (rear) were the same as the factory 20" wheel and tire? Because it is my experience from other cars I have tried this with that a larger rolling radius / circumference will slow the car down. Interested in your thoughts...

The circumference is the same as the OEM 20" only the tire is thinner and wider with the 21" aftermarket rims and it's the same deal with the front. If they were 22"s then it would be a problem

With going just one size bigger than OEM, that is what I would have expected. I tried to go two sizes up on my Porsche and that is when I ran into trouble! Your Spider with the black wheels and the CF lower panel is just amazing!
