I see McLaren is keeping up with tradition of being the most boring car launch every year

Wow - I thought that was pretty cool...definitely not boring IMHO.

Was the Stig driving those? How about that carbon monoxide poisoning from driving indoors???!! :D

Jenson and Perez are as boring as it gets.

But anyway, I was talking more in terms of the look of the car. Looks like they'll be the chrome dildos for yet another year.

MP4/4 in motion = instant drool. Overall good launch, and good looking car. The development model P1 being driven out by Button was pretty freaking cool as well.

I beg to differ. I think they've both got personalities, it's just the "corporate" nature of Mclaren means they can't speak unless spoken to etc.

JB doesn't give a damn - I'm surprised he wasn't ordered to shave. Checo comes across as a nice kid.

    Cheers,
    Ian

?? You do know that the F1 team is 100% completely separate to everything else. Nothing shared and zero impact to the team.

While it's well known I'm no fan of the Woking boys, even I must admit they do "finish" a car nicely. Couple of pix lifted from Bernie's site [Sutton Images.]

    Cheers,
    Ian

I thought I was looking at a pull-rod suspension on the car. Interesting...

    Huh? You said;

I disagree - It's not that they're boring, rather the entire team is boring IMO.

    Ahh, OK, gotcha. My bad.

Back on topic - Anyone else feel their comment about them having "the biggest collection of original trophies in one place" was a little dig at Ethel? :)

    Cheers,
    Ian

I've reflected and studied this car a good bit deal now.

This car is different to 27. Massively. They must have began working on this May of 2012 it is so different.

McLaren (as Ferrari) has used Toyota's wind tunnel to help design the car. So you may be seeing Ferrari finding solutions that McLaren end up using. Not that Toyota is giving up information but that they flattering Ferrari by also using the pull rod front suspension.
