I've already asked this question, sorry 4 repeating myself, but how come the 6.3 litre V12 "only" generates 800 HP ??? The 6.3 litre V12 on the FXX Evoluzione has 850 HP and it was developed way back in 2009. I though the F70 would have at least the same HP, if not more . Was hoping for it to have 900 HP actually .
Well, the FXX is not street legal. Different games... The F12 has 740 bhp. They managed to get 80 bhp more from the same displacement. Not too bad I suppose.
Sorry. I mean that, as the F70 (or whatever) engine is derived from the F12, they got 80 bhp more in the F70 than in the F12.
I still wish it had 900 HP from the V12 alone, I don't really like this Kers system. Maybe it's because I'm too conservative and just like to hear the engine howl when it goes to 10 000 rpm
Im wondering if the car really is as light as 1280kgs with the KERS. If the KERS is as heavy as they say (100+Kgs), a non KERS version with 800hp/1180kgs would be perfect.
very bad im sorry but the ferrari p4/5 its same Sanse - HostingPics.net - Hébergement d'images gratuit
If this is true, it's pretty amazing. Over 950 HP with Kers active... "That kind of power could be great in just about anything, but the report also says that this new Ferrari model will have a dry weight of just 2,799 pounds (about the same as the Scion BRZ and Scion FR-S twins and just slightly more than a Mazda MX-5 Miata)."
I know that all images of a finished product presented thus far have been renderings, but I see way too much Bertone Mantide in the mid/mid-rear section of the car. The forward slashing C-pillar in particular is the main detail where I find resemblance, and I have never been a fan. It worked with the Enzo because the shape of the C-pillar matched the shape of the side air inlet, but that is not the case with the F70 (if one takes the press viewing logo as a type of design standard). I hope the rear of the car smoothes out/compensates for this detail.
Possible Ferrari F70/F150 specs emerge from private showings "Rumored speed times include a top speed of 229 miles per hour, and the ability to run from 0-60 mph in less than three seconds; DOUBLING THAT SPEED TAKES AN EXTRA SECOND." Huh? Better wear a g-suit.
I think they meant going from 60 to 120 takes 4 seconds more ie 7 seconds from 0-120.... Pretty spectacular stuff!
And if the prices we are hearing for this car (1.2 - 1.4 M Euro's) are correct they seem to be continuing that trend.
