Have you tried Trovit.com? Once you set up a search, it scours the net daily sending you links to newly posted ads, including Ebay. I still get the daily email just to see whats out there. Its free and takes a second to set up the search.
There was a black/grey 512M with low miles listed on eBay. It is now in the completed listing as "no longer for sale". The seller had a zero feedback, but the ad looked legitimate. May be worth an email if it is what you are looking for. I think the 512M looks best in black.
Nice car at Continental Ferrari. Has a gray interior, wish it was tan or black. $149K with just under 10K miles. Ask for Davis Alexander and tell him Gene Berns referred you...
Newman's way meaner than I am. Its the harsh winters and moving 11 times in 4 years. Truthfully, I have softened a bit on the 'M' looks. Quite honestly, I appreciate the darker colors - Sera, Black, come to mind - as a means of minimizing the startled catfish look. And I actually prefer the tail treatment with the round lights over the rest of the TR line. Guess I'm more purist in that regard. All in all, the M will likely lead the TR pack in pricing, always have a uniqueness, and a market bigger than the supply. Time will tell what that pricing variable will be. Currently it seems to be a 30 ish thousand dollar premium (?) over the equivalent 94 512TR. Wouldn't make my 'value cut' but for many, it would. They could be right!
It surprises me they go for such a premium over the 512TR. They just tried to hard on the update almost reminds me of our American designers. Although it also surprises how the Ms looks are changed( to the +) by changing the wheels back to the 512TR units. The startled catfish look, hmmmm now that is a description for ya, hahaha Of course who I am I to judge I love my all red interior in my 512 Hey Newmann, I see you didn't really try to defend yourself so you must be the mean one
Llen, it is just in the heads of some people ... there were only 500 made they say ... But they were not appreciated at all imo ... and look how long it takes before one is sold for the actual asking-price ... I would not even considder a swap for my 512TR if I ever was offered one ... Good Luck finding a good one for a good price Paul, keep us informed please ....
Totally agree! $80-90k is upper end IMO, but it all comes down to willingness to pay. If money is no object $175k is nothing to have #22 in your collection.
Would imagine some others have hard data on M sales. Only one I ever knew actually selling is probably not representative of market, but was a 18k miler that had a $149k ask and brought $128k, quite a drop but had been for sale for a while. Ferrari dealer had it on consignment. I think $90k is a good bit under the money on this car above, especially with under 10k on the clock. Again, my opinion only, just hard to find much data on them.
I can only find one right now here in Europe ! If you offer 100K I am quite sure you can have it .... But there will be some 15 for sale here ...
Newman; If you are still looking for a F512m e-mail me I know of 7 of them for sale. 5000 miles to 44,000 miles in virtually every color combination. [email protected]
