A few months back I was reading comparison ratings of supercars in MT, C&D, and R&T and as I remember all picked the Italia first with one comment of "this is the best car I have ever driven". Also what struck me was the comment that MT made about the difference between first (the Italia) and second (the GT-R)..." it's HUGE".

Nice, I've got a Mystic Cobra similar to your Saleen myself. What fun, easy to customize cars with All American charm. I like to drive it just as much as the Ferrari. I love all "F" cars! (Ford & Fiat & Ferrari. Sorry to anyone that thinks that is sacriligous, they are all cool to me.)

This should have been a two post thread. The Op and then this one. End of story.

You post one moronic post after the next. The GT-R owners I know deal with folks like you fairly well and aren't as thin-skinned as you may think, but I digress as we are going off topic here. Some days I prefer to drive the Scud others the GT-R, overall leaning towards the Scud as it is such a special car, after all it's a special Ferrari with performance to boot.

The GT-R was never developed using a platform from a family sedan, in fact quite the contrary as the R35 (latest GT-R designation) was designed from the ground up to be the GT-R. The modern GT-Rs starting from the R32 in the late 80s have have become icons and legends in the racing world, look it up mr. family sedan. Perhaps a little bit of research will do you some good as you appear to lack any factual information about a car you're trying so hard to discredit. Leave the GT-R argument alone if you are just going to spew misinformation. Thank you.

Steve, I texted Eddie this morning with the same comment..."Inciting a riot...charges pending" I believe were my exact words.

I've been working on Eddie regarding the GT-R over the last five to six weeks. Good to see he is coming around a little bit. I'm sorry he had to take a beating to get him to take a second look. :(

Eddie, I see a GT-R down the road...maybe not tomorrow, but sometime...:) :) Hard for a guy like you (us) to resist that level of performance!

Actually, I did my research. perhaps you didn't before plunking down your hard earned cash on a nice Japanese poseur?

    From Consumers Report: "We define family cars as midsize and large sedans well-suited to the everyday needs of a typical family. The best have ROOM FOR FIVE PEOPLE, generous trunk space for shopping trips and vacations,..." {my emphasis}

From Wiki: "Nissan produced a high performance version of its Skyline range called the Nissan Skyline GT-R.... The Nissan GT-R, although no longer carrying the "Skyline" badge, has heritage in the Nissan Skyline GT-R." When I hear that, I think of Chrysler's muscle car conversions of the 60 & 70s. Take a sedate family sedan, drop in a beast of an engine and throw on some garish paint job.

R35 - have you removed the rear seats in your GT-R yet?
I couldn't find any rear seats in my car, cause I have an engine back there.

This is getting to be fun.

Ummm please reread - having four doors is not a requirement for being classified as a family sedan. Having a back seat however...is.

Just imagine if you were driving a 360! Speaking of humbled. And that "I would have had him in the turns" doesn't hold up either. Again Nissan G35 (with balls) vs. Ferrari. Which would you prefer?

Must be a lot of fun trolling. According to your definition of a family sedan the 911 turbo is included. What a joke... unless you think the 911 turbo is a family sedan which would make you an even bigger joke. Everyone reading this thread knows you have no clue what you're talking about when it comes to the GT-R, much less research???? Your own excerpts from Wiki and Consumer Reports reinforce how misguided you are about GT-R. Tighten up those screws before you come back in the thread making yourself more foolish.

"What a sad company Ferrari has become, building off family sedans!" ...said no one ever.

Aston Martin DB9 sure is a nice sedan.

Also, smartypants, the R35 GT-R has room for four people, not five.

Oh, forgot about the nice sedan called Lotus Evora.

    What a troll...

You'll recall the thread started comparing 360/430/458 to GT-R, not the other Ferrari product line.

I'm fine to stop the pissing contest if the other poster can stop the vitriolic personal attacks.

So far, I've offered my opinion derived from observation (scientific method) and he's just flaming because he does not agree.

we all have different opinions on what is a family sedan, some people want room 5-8 people and a fridge in the car too. For my wife and I, we consider the 360 to be the ultimate family sedan, when we go out of town we pack light and there is plenty of room for the 2 of us. Before that my S2000 was the utilmate family car (not sedan because the top comes off).

A Ferrari is only fast when its the current model, all the others are not as fast and yet still a joy to drive.

If you are referring to me, my apologies. I recall alluding to your posts as moronic, but that was in reference to your post content and not your character. I'll stop here. In the end you have a preconceived notion of what the GT-R is about and nothing anyone says will likely sway your opinion...unfortunately I'll respect that and move along. Offering an opinion based on observation is fine, but offering an opinon based on incorrect factual information is different altogether and that is the issue that annoys me most.

Hope everyone is having a nice day.
