0813: Ferrari's Felipe Massa, who is taking part in the first three days of testing in Jerez, is out on the green intermediate tyres and he has our first flying lap of the session, clocking one minute 35.607 seconds.
AUTOSPORT Live: Test day one - F1 Jerez first pre-season test 08:32 First red flag of the day, and its for McLaren. 08:38 Jenson Button stops at Turn 4, clambers out and then watches on as three marshal trucks arrive, realise they can't do anything and then stand and watch themselves (yes, its our first marshal/truck watch of 2013 testing). Eventually McLaren pull up and the covers go on, just as the low loader appears

I believe the time above with Nico was with DRS in use all around the track. Jenny set a very quick time today. Massa stating F138 is essentially on another planet. I can actually believe that, ferrari built an impressive car.
Good to have F1 back...even if it seems like it just ended last month. I hope Massa's words are music to our ears.
Inconsistent...not fastest but not slow. I hope they really have figured the handling out. That would be an awesome start to the 2013 season.

I'll reserve my guesses as to the performance of F138 and RB9 until late Barcelona when a good amount of the goodies are in place. But for now and since F138 was taken out of its wraps it's looked like a serious contender. The area under the exhaust exits is most impressive. If F138 has one item that they are not most advanced with, it would be that Mclaren and Mercedes appear to have a slightly lower rear CoG.
Jerez F1 test: Romain Grosjean says Lotus exceeds expectations - F1 news - AUTOSPORT.com Grosjean says the E21 is better than expected and big improvement over last years. Theoretically meaningless drivel, but I can't help but be exited. Hopefully they can be real challengers for wins this time round.
I'm jealous .... what's the good having a 3D telly if they don't broadcast F1 in 3D for me Cheers, Norm
