My old laptop just took a dump on the hard drive.

I have another laptop, so I installed Itunes version 10 and tried to sync rhe iphone4.

But it says that I will loose all my apps, music and picutres.

Is there a way to sync my iphone with this new laptop without losing all my old music, picutres, contacts, and apps???

I activated Home Sharing, but that does not let me transfer files from my iphone to this new PC.

Can someone give me some step by step instructions please!!!!!

Welcome to the world of iXXXX - no you most likely CANNOT save anything inside of it.
Not without 3rd party software anyway - I remember some apps that will "rip" your iPhone
(iPod, iPod Touch, iPad, etc).... but just not positive about the iPhone apps.

And even when things are going WELL, I have to "restore" my iPod 160gb to my MACBOOK
    at least twice a year.

Apple zealots will call this a feature.

    That somehow doesn't sound right.
If you got the apps from the Apple App Store you can always get them back.
Your music is a different story. I guess it resided on your old computer. Was it backed up anywhere other than your iPhone?

Also, once when I got a new Mac, I synced my existing iPhone to it and I was asked if I wanted to merge my data, replace it with everything on the phone, or use the info on the new mac, which was nothing. I merged and everything on my phone showed up on the new computer.

I'm sure if you make a Genius Bar appointment at an Apple store you will be able to get them to do the transfer from the phone to the new computer. Is your computer a non-Mac? If so, I'm sorry for your loss.

Forgive the confusion, but you resurrected a 2 year old thread and then replied as if it was your original issue - so you're mixing up the problem that vipermann123 experienced with a new issue?

Why don't you start out by telling us exactly what YOUR problem is? What touch copy program are you talking about? Who are the guys you are addressing with "Why can't you guys make it simple"? This is Ferrarichat, not Apple Support! Some people may be able to help you, based on their own knowledge and experience, but it's just people with their own experience, nothing official here.
