There are not decent shows that I know of.
Top Gear UK became popular though, since it got dubbed(99% of Italians only watch dubbed movies and shows).
You can get an idea on youtube searching "top gear ita".

Guess it would be entertaining to hear some of it dubbed to italian and german though

This guy works or worked for Nuvolari TV and has been a Fiat engineer for many years. He gives a lot of technical info so it's probably what you're looking for.
