What you think about this ?

Bonhams 1793 : Commandé neuf par Garage Ferrari Francorchamps,1973 FIAT 238 Fourgon Chassis no. 238B10103116

Commissioned new by Garage Ferrari Francorchamps
    1973 FIAT 238 Van
    Chassis no. 238B10103116

Commissioned new by Garage Francorchamps, the Belgian Ferrari importer and first registered on 17.10.1973, this delightful little FIAT van, with its evocative livery featuring various Ferrari model names, has to be the perfect addition to any collection of Maranello's finest motor cars, or alternatively would make an ideal race support vehicle. Successor to the FIAT 1100T, the 238 was introduced in 1967 and produced in various versions - van, truck, chassis cab, minibus and ambulance - with engines of either 1,197cc or 1,438cc.

Top speed was around 105km/h. The 238's mechanical underpinnings were sourced from the Autobianchi Primula, which is notable as the FIAT Group's first passenger car to feature front-wheel drive and a transverse engine. Produced in collaboration with Citroën, a Tipo 242 van arrived in 1974 boasting a larger petrol engine and a diesel option. However, such was the 238's popularity that it was made available with 242's larger engine and kept in production until 1983, being replaced by the first of the Ducato series.

This example of the hugely successful FIAT 238 is offered in un-restored condition and comes with Belgian Carte Grise and books in the name of Garage Francorchamps. We are advised that the engine is seized and thus the vehicle is sold strictly as viewed.

I like it. If I was in Europe and had 23,000 euro sitting around I would have picked it up. It would make for a fun track support vehicle. And it has a little history.

It literally is. And that's just from braking to a stop for the picture.

Cool piece, even with the rust. I thought it would have gone great next to my Dino GT bought from Garage Francorchamps in 1973!

Find an 1,4 l engine for the 238 and drive it!
My dad had one, back in the seventies, it was a lot of fun to drive, has a lot of character, a very italian vehicle. I was disgusted when a car coming in front slid on ice and put an end to its life...
