i havent heard of the rule but i fit those standards, and i have been invited to go see the car this month in maranello
Just came back from my local ferrari dealer, and you are right, criteria is extremly flexible! by the way, there was also today an internal sale meeting involving at this place all salesmen plus regional ferrari manager, and they confirmed (to me) an official launch in Geneva where it will be THE major item on their stand, just my 2 cents!
I would think the dealers/factory know who the real players are... They just want to be sure they stay away from potential "flippers".
I agree. The Veyrons are all about Ferdinand Piech's ego and achievements and legacy he wants for himself. He is an incredibly powerful ego-maniac! Can't help but admire that!!!
I would bet the criteria can be summed up as the following: 1. Client has expressed an interest in purchasing the car. 2. Client has enough money to purchase car. 3. Verify #2.
Sure I was also told that anyone owning an F1 car could have one You quickly get to 400+ people I do wonder how many people have bought 10+ new cars and won't be offered a car and will then not buy another another new Ferrari.
When I was reading article about new F70 (online Ferrari magazine), head of Ferrari design was proud to announce that after long time Ferrari is finally ready to open their FULLY FUNCTIONAL design department. If you read between lines, you can see what he is talking about.
Yes my Dad he even went to Italy to meet LdM with regards to the Enzo he was expecting, but had recently sold his F50 and sold a brand new 550 barchatta, at the same time, So for "flipping" the barchatta, he was knocked back, he even sold cars for the dealer both new and used to people back here in UK as well as local Spanish ferrari club members. The Enzo would of been his 12-15 new ferrari over about 9-10 year period, having no more than 3 at a time. My dad took delivery of his ordered 575, and didn't step foot in ferrari dealer again for at least 2 year, instead he got his fix by buying an apartment in a marina with mooring and a yacht instead. Apparently sunseeker are much happier to take people's money.
sad story. but key elements are pretty obvious - sold f50 and barchatta before enzo allocation is a fumble at the goal line; no more than 3 ferraris at a time when many others are holding 5 or more at a time. bumped
Regarding the Instagram account: Not anymore - R&T's Alex Nunez saw fit to check with the actual official source: >8^) ER
So they know for fake oFicial Instagram profile with 60k followers where we can see all hilarious statements & they dont plan to stop that circus. Instead, they are trying to reach R&T via e-mail - LOL.
free publicity, that post alone got the car a whole lot of attention;and they didn't even have to lift a finger haha
Safe to assume that Alex emailed one of his PR contacts at Ferrari for clarity on the situation, who then responded back via email. Hopefully they will do something about getting the account removed. They may not have even been aware of it previously. >8^) ER
