+1 IMHO, before we discuss which one is better, a universal definition of hypercar is a must. Otherwise, all arguments above are meaningless and subjective......A race always needs rules(even no rules is a kind of rule). And I am happy to see so many petrol-head here discussing globally and sincerely^_^

I agree and think race cars can still look beautiful. We're in the middle of this now with a sanctioning body for 2014/15. It's a tricky issue because everyone doesn't want to give other's an advantage and everyone also wants to keep costs down but we remain hopeful that if we wind up running a factory team in 2014/15 our car can look more like this then that. (I'll leave it up to you to judge this and that) I do agree that the F70 will look prettier than the P1 and be VERY fast but for those who REALLY care about how fast a car is around a race course and like hyper technical looks, and there are definetly those who do, a P1 will be the one for them. At the edge of performance cars do become very technical looking as LMP 1's clearly prove.

Personally I'm glad that Andrea and Sergio designed a car that may have shown Luca that a car can perform well and still be classically beautiful which is what they wanted to do and I thnk did with P 4/5.

I remember when the enzo came out. Its looks weren't as widely accepted as the P1 but most still love it because of how fast it is and how it sounds. The interior isn't "prittied" up either. Just what you really need. And they still love it. So... i think that the enzo is your personal favorite and that's fine. Let's just let the world decide when they actually fully see daylight. Also, it seems mostly Ferrari fans have a problem with the P1. I wonder why?

No offense Mr Bravo, but how could a comment like that be anything but offensive?

Oh wait, Jim doesn't care what you think. Nevermind then... :D

Really? Why should it be offensive when someone is critical about the looks of your car? Thats pure nonsense. He is entitled to his opinion, no?

I for one think Gordon Murray missed the point Ken Okuyama tried to make.

Ahh the worst thing about all this, is that even when we see the F150, and it clearly blows away everything (including the p 4/5) with it's looks, we'll still be hearing how the P 4/5C can lap some obscure, dilapidated, soon to be closed track, faster... And how Gordon Murey thinks the p4/5 is prettier...

P.S. Not to mention that Mr. Napolis never made good on his word of breaking the old laptime, or that when the laptime was achieved, a Ferrari 458 GTE was much faster, and scored a much better time. So Ferrari already has a faster race car then the P4/5 C, which also has a proven race pedigree actually wining a few races, which include 24 of Le Mans :)

Frankly I'm kind of bored with his constant insistence that a Race car is actually a road car etc.. it's as much of a road car as the 458 GTE is, which BTW would cost a hell of lot less to buy, and modify to pass MOT become road legal..

Until a car does a Ring time with verfied timing, fan boy bench racing bs remains fan boy bench racing bs.

Our Ring Time was verified and reported by the press as was Ferrari's 599xx 6:58. It's hard to break your record when the race we were prepared to do just that was canceled because of snow but should any Ferrari powered car including the F70 ever break our record we'll be happy to return and see what we can do.

We have yet to fulfill the Godwin's law, but guess that's soon going to happen, possibly in regards to the Porsche 918 :)

Thanks, I forgot about the plaque design which doesnt look anything like that section.

On anther note, this is the closest I came to capturing the classic F 250 spirit.

I disagree. I am a huge Ferrari fan and I think the Enzo is plain ugly. I honestly think Jim did a good job with the P4/5. You have to respect what he did with what he had.

I like the MC12 better too from a looks perpective.

The F1 imo has the beauty of interaction that non of the current hyper cars do. Man and machine without electronic governance.

I do too and interestingly that was designed by the guy who designed P1.
