I would be getting my F12 "right out the gate" i only interpret that "" as in the beginning.

2.5 year? That "already very long" can be intrepreted many ways too.

At my dealer (Ferrari of Washington DC), I made 'general inquiry' with a trusted sales person. In his assessment there were at least 12+ firmly committed folk with strong history of F-car deals ($ ready when slot available). So based on expected annual allocation, I'd be looking at year three of production when my number came up. I've got a 2012 FF and I'm comfortable running the FF as daily driver for 3-5 years. If in 2015+, the F12 bug can't be denied, then my vehicle would be coming to USA about the time that I was ready to trade the FF. Of course circumstances could change. I had a 2011 Maserati GT convertible with 2,800 miles that went out the door as trade-in on the FF last July. My interest increases when there's a car with low miles at a good price.

I was told a year to 18 months but "no one knows". This after buying 3 new Fcars in the past 5 years.

I told them 18 months was OK with me.

That's so they can honestly state they never charge more than list price.

That difference is actual the same mathematically as paying over sticker. Different tactic $ame re$ult$.

Oh they'll never "charge" over list price. There's multiple ways to get the "premium" though.

Exactly my point, particularly with a used 458 still maintaining decent value, at least in the US. They know the premium they are getting with little risk.

$40K?? Thats it?! Wow, i suspected at least $80K under. I estimated market to be $100K+ over.

Well, what slot for that hit?

Ohhhh yeeeaaa, its all about "relationships". If thats for real early allocation then i'd say yea.

Would it be a long term keeper or a short lived?

My guess is at 1 year, even break at the least... minus their commission if u consign it. But i cant predict the market so cant know for sure.

Do you guys like the design of the front fender? I love the rest of the car but that piece where the shield is looks very odd (cheap?) up close

I think diff colors make diff parts of the car appeal to me differently. I love the car.
