+1. C'mon Alberto... You have no idea all what Glen has invested in time and money for the ILR... Philippe S2 7987

Glen: The difference is that for free, I can see almost anything on this site, where as on yours that is not the case. I pay here moslty so I can post pictures of my restoration. But, if I want to see anything that I have posted here I do not have to pay, unlike your site where people provided a good portion of the content, but they then cannot even see it without paying. So totally not the same. Phillipe With all due respect, you have no idea how much time and effort it took to piece together the history of my car that I have been able to piece together, which history I posted willingly to Glen's site, under the belief that in exchange I would be able to view other people's presumably equally time consuming and hard efforts in finding and posting the history of other cars. It is the change in this implicit agreement, with no consideration for those who contributed the information in the first place, that I have issue with. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All of this said, I am not looking to rehash this and I apologize for bringing it up. In deference to not further derailing this thread from the intended subject (Espadas), I won't post any further comments on this subject herein. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alberto
Yes, I know I meant that the auction house was confusing chassis number and body number. How come such a big mistake ?

Looks like you were right.. I'm not sure what the Bonhams Espada was guided at but I'm sure it wasn't the 55,200 it sold for, while the Artcurial Espada made 45,190, against a guide of 25,000-35,000. I understand both were unrestored Espadas needing some serious TLC...
The gentleman who carried out the sunroof conversion is the very well known panel beater Les Monk. He remembers doing the job very vividly and had a few funny stories to tell about the job PM if you would like his contact details
Don't hate that Glen, one day or another our infos will be updated by new discoveries, so I don't care and I'm glad there is now #7006 which ressurect from nowhere !!! By the way the sale of my LCB friend's S1 at Artcurial was a good surprise... I was there too in 1st row. The sale at Bonhams of the S2 belonging to another LCB friend was not a good surprise, because rumors say the bidder has no credit to pay for the 5 cars he bidded on... we are waiting for this to be clarified since a week. Can someone provide me more informations about this "Mad Max" Espada => 1972 Lamborghini Espada Series 2 for sale | Hemmings Motor News
I have no idea, but it is a very odd thing to do. bar the cost side what was he hoping to achieve apart from speed. he has IMO not done anything for the looks.. I hope you find some info, I too would be interested to hear thoughts behind the creation.
Someone has written this in another Chat : "James Di Iorio who later installed a Countach QV engine into the car and created the infamous "Mad Max" Espada. With the new engine and other modifications James made, the Espada will now give evenDiablos a good run for the money."
Oliver, Try over on VLG. It was Jack's former Espada that he sold to James and was subsequently converted. He talk's about it at length. The nose job is just too much for me but it apparently goes like hell.
I agree with you, if I would have "this #8764" in my hands, here is the kind of nose I would put on it...
But would everything fit? That's why the engine was a side draft to begin with ... It you live in sunny southern California then maybe just the carbs sticking out? Hot rodding is endemic to that part of the world.
Knowing the top engine size of the QV, the room needed will take place in such configuration, much greater looking than the Mad Max look alike and also in the Gandini's design ! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
