Just spotted this on YouTube - has it been posted many times before? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yq6OzLzaNpw]Ferrari Dino 246 GT - YouTube[/ame] Anyway, I enjoyed it!
I have a copy of that video someplace. It is fun to watch, but it must be taken with more than a grain of salt. After watching it a few times, I decided there was just a lot of BS in it, at least with the imagined conversations about the history of the development of the Dino engine, and in particular, that while Alfredino was in the hospital (on his deathbed), he discussed technical engine details with Vittorio Jano. That is a well-worn story that is virtually impossible to separate out from the many other Ferrari myths. On last thing - I sure wouldn't have wanted the drivers involved to have taken either of my Dinos (or for that matter, ANY of my other cars) for a quick ride around the block. Hopefully they were slamming their own cars around. . . .
