    Morning guys,

just a small update on my experience with the 430 so far... I am actually addicted to the car! the only things that stopped me from driving it was the rain and CNY plans ... I realised the car is tail happy, the tail came out when I was driving around town on Race mode but even on Sport mode the tail also tend to kick out a little ..... Nevertheless it still managed to make me laugh after the initial scare I had on my face.

I was wondering could it be because it tires are harden since it is a 09 car or its just tail happy lol :D

Good to hear you are enjoying. I had Pilot Super sports on mine last time and they were very good in gripping. 09 tires must not be used already for safety reasons.

Don't worry, I had the same hairy experience before too :D especially doing U-turns!

09 tyres are not too bad. I still have my 07s, I think & went on to do another few thousand kms of spirited driving+rain. Thread wear is more important IMHO.

I drove my neighbour's GTR to the airport complete with suitcase. Practical with super duper car performance. His was mildly modded, pushing late 500+ hp I think and very reliable. Very tractable and mind blowing but other than the phenomenal power/torque, it didn't excite me. The 355 still does it for me the moment I start her up. Maybe it is a thing from the past since I always liked F cars as a kid.

I also err on the safe side so usualy throw away tires 3 years old esp if you are doing high speed runs on NS. Last thing you want is a blowout though it is highly unlikely on 3 yr old tires but cannot take the chance.

Mine are the stock ones I guessing judging they are the Pzero Rosso

Yea was thinking to do that soon... Though I would admit I tend to push the car abit harder when in the mood... :D

Will check later haha I quite like the hairy experience I tend to do that in the 7series but its alot more slower as its a heavy car compare to the horse...

Just wondering, if the authorities caught you kick the rear end of the car out, is that illegal ? I know you for bikers if you pop wheelie or stoppie its against the law

    That I am not sure!

But when you upgrade and push over 1000bhp, I bet the transmission has to be upgraded.

My mates 2012 GTR is running pretty well with 800bhp on crank but he doesn't launch the car.

Yes, been watching the crazy done up 997 turbo's and they are quick.

They are very reliable too from what I read .

Any idea of the PDK ? Is it good and can it handle with an upgraded turbo in the 997.

No offense to 430 owners , but the sound is terrible, unless with an upgraded exhaust!

For this era cars, I prefer the Gallardo :)

IIRC, Porsche's tip gearbox (Merc) is good for up to 900bhp or so & starts to slip, not sure about the torque figures but you can google. But the manual gbox can tahan with upgraded clutch pack.

Oh, didn't know that doing wheelie is illegal? :p

As for cars, you'll just need to change rear tyres more often that's all but watch out for kerbs!

Thought the performance will thrill you, maybe the badge?

I lusted after the Gtr when they launched it & strangely after all these years I never bought one nor even tested it as I fear the car could be too clinical=boring though it's one car that's all I need. Sigh.

Yes, I heard about the trip gearbox and there is a manual 997 turbo running around too that is tuned.

I was wondering about the new PDK gearbox and how it is compared to the triptonic

Apparently it was .... when I was still riding my friend got warning from the TP saying that its actually an offense because they see the reason you pop wheelie = you dont know how to control your vehicle which makes you a dangerous rider on the road lol
