In general, yeah, if the weather conditions ain't extreme (heat and extreme cold conditions), the tyre compound composition shouldn't change much and still should be ok, despite the age, so as long as the threads are still there. Unless there is any abnormal signs of vibration and noise, should be ok.
Which reminds me. Long ago one of the rear tyre on my Testa delaminated when I did high speed run on the NS highway & thank goodness I heard the flapping sound. Have to admit that those tyres must be well over 5yrs old & @ one time the ex-owner left the car under weather for over a year without moving! The tiny emergency wheel saved the day & a miracle it works after 15yrs! Then drove about 70kms to Melaka. One of the shop there saved the day by selling me a pair of wrong aspect sized yet really old 2nd hand tyres that were hard as nail & painted with black oil. It really helped that they were also used as flower pot stands too 18" tyres are a rarity in parts of Malaysia then. I continued my journey to KL & back to Sgp doing no more than 120km/h which is really nice as you could actually enjoy the scenery. It's strange to be in a Ferrari only to be over taken by buses & the likes but we completed the trip! Those were young & adventurous days

Veyron used gearbox developed by a British company called Ricardo. I believe their earlier project includes auto gearbox developed for Ferrari 456 gta
