Matte is very nice, I am a fan of it. The only thing is I am not a fan on Ferrari. It seems to cheapen the car as if they forgot to do something. Here is a pretty good looking one Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
These are some pics that you can find by searching "458 bar none." I love this color but am not sure what it's called. Is this what you're getting? I'm really thinking about getting this color! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah, i think its similar...I've seen only a sample at the atelier but the color is so different depending on the lighting that is tough to tell...but that's the idea.
Yes - it's very hard to tell. I'm wondering if it might be Rosso Fiorano. I think it could be a little darker than Fuoco.
As per the "It seems to cheapen the car" comment, I'm not buying it as an investment...but think Rosso Fuoco and this Green may be a bit different?
Never been a fan particularly of the matt colours, but that red one above is absolutley gorgeous. I was going Bianco Fuji when my spec time comes up, but crikey I might change my mind, that red goes so well on the car, especially with the black sills & wheels..absolutley love it.....more pics of matt cars please!
That really works. Matte looks much better in person that you expect it to. Now about that green.....
Oh no, "it's a wrap"!! As in "game over" "finished" Dont think that car has a future past it's current owner.
Great color but I would read the owners manual on the care and feeding of that matte paint. You just can not wash the car. So be sure you are aware going in. That Rosso matte is nice.
I was wondering about that Arnie...whats the drill for washing/looking after matte cars...is it tough to live with?
Directly from the Ferrari 2013 owners manual. AS you can see it is pretty complicated. Even though it looks great I would use the money to get a regular special order paint color Cleaning and care of matt paintwork (optional) Warning The paintwork MUST NOT be polished using any type of product. Owners must take great care of vehicles with matt paintwork (optional). Here is a list of the main precautions to be taken. Wash the vehicle using a steam cleaner and rinse with demineralised water only. It must be dried using an automatic dryer or compressed air. Manual drying can ONLY be performed using a 3M microfibre yellow cloth (Ferrari code 571.400.022) that is clean and soaked in demineralised water in the areas where limescale deposits are present. The cloth must be kept in a special clean container. To clean any grease or oil marks, a 3M microfibre yellow cloth (Ferrari code 571.400.022) that is clean and soaked in R107/S solvent (heptane) can be used. A new cloth must be used and it must not have been previously soaked in demineralised water. Do not wash the vehicle in direct sunlight or when the bodywork is still warm. Do not apply stickers to the bodywork.
A matte finish is created by putting a light absorbing clear coat over normal shiny paint. If you remove some of the clear coat by polishing, etc, you create a shiny spot in the matte finish. As a result, it is extremely important to protect the top coat of clear paint in a matte finish car and, of course, the top coat is the most vulnerable to damage.
Wow...missed that one....But then again, you ever seen ANY corporate disclaimers for ANY product out there you will never ever use or buy anything....
