VECTOR cars!

Not to my knowledge. I go there often and I have never seen it there.

I know the complete history of this car, how much the current owner paid for it and what repairs were performed.

I met the owner last time he brought the car to Supercar Sunday. He was an interesting fellow, he doesn't really frequent car events so would not count on this car showing up.

 

Ahh well, just have to take in whatever good happens!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the M12 aka the W8's replacement have a Diablo V12 engine? I don't think they ever got the V8 TT right with the sync of the turbos

 

That is correct, it used a 5.7 liter V12 from the Diablo.

No, it has been claimed many times. But is not true.

 

Just curious, do you have the info that shows it is not a modified Diablo chassis? I've seen more questions than answers regarding this.

 

I have posted photos of the M12 chassis.
The engine and transmision in the M12 are mounted reversely and so on and so forth.

 

Right, and attached to a getrag 5 speed. It is tough to find good chassis comparison images is what I'm getting at. Some elements show it is not purely a Diablo chassis, but not necessarily bespoke.

 

I don't think they are the same chassis. Too many things are different for them to be considered the same. I

 

Should we not be able to find photos of a Diablo chassis in this forum in the Lambo section or in other forums (Lambotalk etc?)
I bet that some user would have photos available within minutes.

Drawing was taken from the eurospares website, so yes I believe it's OEM Lamborghini.
Your Diablo link with chassis pictures seem to be of kit cars IMO.

 

The sync of the turbos was not the problem. It was the 3 speed Automatic Transmissions the W8 used with the high end gearing.

 

It looks like Jeff's Motorcars in Canton, Ohio no longer has Vector M12 chassis 001 and 012. I'm glad I made the trip over there last year to see them!

Someone actually bought an M12?

I know of an M12 chassis being sold with a Lamborghini Replica body right now up in Corona. He only want's 5k for the project.

 

Why not? Still awesome looking cars with Diablo power.

 

The M12 had a ZF 5 speed by RBT in Cali. Not a Getrag as stated above.

 

speaking of M12, never have learned much more about this car specifically, what modifications it had, etc
