Can you provide me with the info about the company that does them. Also, if anyone in the US knows where I can have my originals rebuilt please let me know. For now I've opted not to use the replacements but eventually will while my originals are being rebuilt.
This is not correct, the original are from stabilus and you can still buy them, so it's not worth to rebuild the old ones. I bought new stabilus for about 30 Euros and they look 1:1 like the old ones.
Hello Raymond. Nice seeing you again. Can you kindly direct me where I can the originals. Every time I order from someone here in the US they always send me parts that I will not use on my car as everything on it is still original. The quality of the replacements are nowhere near the quality of the originals. Thanks
I can't help you, the original are stabilus and they can be bought almost everywhere here in europe, I replaced them on my car and on a tahiti LP500s, you can't see any difference.

Joe, do you know the story behind this car? I was kind of amazed to find these photos as I was unaware of this car, Loving the LP500 as I do! I guess its somebodys homage to the Prototype. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Its been around for a few years (I have posted it earlier in this thread) and I have no idea what the story is or the rationale for the mods, besides the obvious.
I kinda like it. Doesn't look like they went overboard on modifying it so should be easily reversable. Works as a show piece I guess...
How do the tail-lights illuminate and show braking & turning? Did you have to change the rear panel also?
Did you have to change the rear panel also?[/QUOTE] No, I just made a new one which is fastened with the Lamborghini and Countach emblems. I can go back to the original look faster than Bertone did when they had to leave Gandini´s design for the traffic law and fit the backlights from the Alfetta. Give me a quarter of an hour!
I shot this at Road Atlanta but cannot remember when , what year is the car. I shot it between 1979 and 1982. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks to be this car....1980 LP400S S2. Not sure of the vin #. Same color as my Countach (second picture) Brian Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
nicely done. For once this is one of the few mods that I really like and improve the car. They should have done it this way
Umm... I'm pretty sure that's a different car to the one in Patek's photo - the picture you're showing has been reversed; it was taken in Australia as far as I know (and I'll cheerfully apologize and stand corrected if it's me that's reversed and not the pic). That's also a non-American looking Toyota Corona out on the street (no side marker lights?), complete with a very Australian Aunger louvre on the rear window
