I can feel your pain, I am ready for winter to be over! We had a few nice days where it was in the 40º-50ºF range which was a relief but now it's back in to the low 20s and snowing!
No pain here, look at the FF area for my video yesterday driving my FF through a strong snow squall . SottoZeros are mandatory though! If I only had a 458 I would have SottoZeros for the winter here in NW Ohio and drive it every day ... except the days when the snow is too deep. Rick
Rick, you're more than welcome to buy me a set of SottoZeros for my Aston I'd drive it in the snow then. I'd just have to avoid Ken or I'd get an ear full.
It looks like this 300 days out of the year, temperature on the coast is 65F +- 10F all year long. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes... (tongue in cheek), not to mention the overtaxation, overregulation, and inept government, and...er... certain odd types of people, though smog is basically nonexistent outside the LA basin.
Yes California is horrible, please don't come over, it is already over populated and already have enough Ferrari here (On a good sunny weekend day, I hear one scream by my house every 20 minutes).
My pain is not the weather conditions. In Lisbon we have always nice and friendly weather. Even over winter. My pain is another. Better saying I have to pay 318k euros (about 420k USD) for ordering my brand new 458 spider. Portugal is now the perfect world madness paradigma on taxes. But happy anyway for order it. Sorry guys for my poor english. I'm portuguese. So, please dont be too hard with me! All the best for all Ferrari lovers.
Prices are appr. the same in Austria. 320K Euro you have to pay for a Spider with medium range of options. Round about 20% more than in Germany. Bandits .... Dont think about! Be happy to be able to finance it and enjoy! Regards - Webber45
The difference between your pain and the guys with bad weather is that the weather will get better; taxes will only get worse. We in the US are working hard to catch up with you.
Yes, because you must pay in Austria for cars which cost more than 50.000 20% luxury tax. Have I said it right?
Buy a 458 Spider in Scottsdale...temp in the 70s. Fly down and drive it. Fly home and have the car shipped back. No problemo.
No, it is because of a special tax, called NOVA, which is connected with the fuel-consumption and adds 16% on the price. Than there is 20% VAT, what is in Germany f.e. 19%, in Switzerland I think only 7%. Last but not least you have to pay a special CO2-tax what adds another 3 or 4% (I dont know exactly). It depends from the CO2-output of the car. Austria is just a small country but has to feed a lot of politicans!
