Unfortunately it didn't work for me. Many of you may know I said I had bought a yellow Testarossa. Well, the day before I was going to pick up the car after 2 weeks of long waiting because of some technical fiscal problems the deal couldn't be finalized.

Maybe I sold the bear's skin before I killed it but since I had sent the payment after agreement with the seller(not the owner) I tought I could consider myself as a new owner but I guess I was wrong. Next time I'll deal directly with the owner and wait the ownership is in my name before telling others.

P.S.(And because I said Newman talked me back into that car in a previous thread I want to tell everyone Newman was not involved in the dealing at all and has nothing to see with the problem)

Payment was refunded today by the owner.
It leave a sour taste for me and will now wait a little while before shopping again.

Sorry to hear this. But you could tell from your posts that you're totally were into the Testarossa spirit, I have no doubt you'll be back in the game soon. Keep us posted!

Same here Claude, sorry it didnt work out. Could be worse, you could own a Hyundai Pony running on 3 cylinders instead of two other ferraris in the garage!

Keep shopping, they seem to be on a downward slide again. Just when I thought the TR's had bottomed and were on the rebound they seem to be popping up with lower prices daily. Time to buy another I guess...

Yes I saw that today. Many cars on Ebay cheap. The one at $35K didn't last long. I really think it's time to buy. I'll just watch. But I would have like a Canadian car.

How funny is it that in 1989 you couldn't buy a TR for love or money and today, nearly the same is true from the sell side?

I'm in the buying queue, not many keeping me company, but one day it will change...just not sure when!

Claude, I was on the phone talking to the guy about the 35k TR when someone clicked on the Buy it Now. No service records and 60k miles made it not so good a deal. Who ever clicked Buy it Now had never even talked to the owner before doing so...suspicious. My guess is they wanted to end the auction to get it off ebay and try and deal on it.

Cheer up it will work out. I just had the same thing hamppen with a house. I agreed to full asking price for the place, shok hands in the garage with him and his wife and told him I would email the contract over later and that I was ready to close right after the inspection. I thne proceeded to tell friends and family I had bought the house. Called the next day to say I was emailing the contract and wanted to schedule the home inspection, seller tells me he made a mistake and owed 34K more on the house than he was asking. I told him good luck with that and walked. A week later I bought another house for 40K more than what he raised his "new" price. I also got the satisfaction of his wife calling with hat in hand 2 weeks later asking if I was still interested in the house. I told her no as I was able to get a contract on a larger and more expensive place down the street. :)

I know I will find something. If I stay in the mood. Sometimes when things like this happen I kind of turn off after a while. We'll see.

Claude, have you see black 90 in AZ on eBay? Seems like a nice car with recent major. I was getting ready to make a move on it but I just bought a 512TR.

Yes I've been watching it for a while. I even bid on it. This is Malibu_rob ex car. I also emailed him. He said it is a good car and that he almost bought it back. I'm watching the market. I'll pull the trigger again when I'll feel ready.
