I always thought the Daytona was the first road Ferrari to make use of fibre glass as a structural component or body panel on a road Ferrari but a conversation on Twitter with a former 330GT Series 2 owner indicated that had fibre glass floors.

So what was the first road Ferrari to use fibre glass in it's construction?

    Thanks

The 275 GTB used fibreglass too.

From a 275 GTB Michael Sheehan article:

"The only major update during shortnose production, beginning with S/N 7315, was the decision to make the firewall, the entire floor, and the rear bulkhead in fiberglass, which helped to prevent the rust problems endemic to the earlier cars."

Scaglietti used it in the lightweight 275 GTB/C for the 1966 race season

I am not up on my 308/328 history but there was one year when they had a fiberglass body. I am sure there is good info on this in the 308/328 section. tongascrew

You can go to the 308 GTB Fiberglass Register for more info on the 712 plastic 308's. (www.glass308.com)

Some of the 250PF coupes had Fibreglass panels......I have 0953 in restoration and it has a fibreglass trunk lid which is original. I am told but have never seen that some PFs had front ends and engine covers in fibreglass also........
