As what was on the L series, was in horrid condition, we have reproduced the batchboard for the Dino 206 or 246 L.
Made with fine orange thread to replicate that factory look, yet possibly not a perfect shade of orange, but very difficult to compare to anything else, so I can live with it.
Besides, here they only have one shade of orange...back to basics.

Hinge, hand rolled and made in alloy, with rivets applied in a "typical", not very symmetrical manner. Hinge pin, in stainless steel.

Hatch cover, same alloy, shaped to the contour of the opening with a lower slot for the windshield washer bag hose.

Molded from an original that was all broken up, missing sections, so remade fairly rustic with imperfections in the visible outer layer of the part, and in the other details to replicate that special "factory quality look" and the devil-may-care attitude.

There exists the possibility to pop a few bubbles or a lot and sloppy paint it, for that special flavor.
I am really pleased with the outcome as there are no originals, or loaners, to be found anywhere. ;)

    Regards, Alberto

Alberto, I will speak with the owner of the 206 I am restoring to be certain but I think we want one of your batch boards. Ours has a few cracks and missing sections which can be repaired but will never look as good as we want it to so a good quality reproduction would be great.

So glad to see parts like this being made well. There are so many poorly made reproduction parts on the market and of course, so few NOS/used parts kicking around.

    Cheers,

As most of my perfectionist friends know how frustrating it is to look so hard and then find trash, it really is a pleasure to be reproducing items that truly fit properly and look the part.

I mean, it takes the same effort to do make something well, and the incentive after all, is the obvious...my own car!

In the end, it helps everyone and it is very rewarding as the breed improves and if the results are better cars, absolutely a no-brainer.

Just look at the fantastic 206 fuel caps, wow... :)

    Thank you for the appreciation!

    Regards, Alberto
