Not for sale at all or already sold? edit: ad says SOLD here now: http://www.barrettautogallery.com/web/used/Ferrari-360--2004-Mcallen-TX/1278856/
I did the deal on this CS last September but had a lot of stuff going on at the time, and a GT4 to sell to make room in the Garage so it was November before I collected it. At the time I paid just over £100k GBP. and the mileage was 4300. The car was fully serviced and new flanblocs were fitted all round. On the way home the brakes started to squeak. It was the front brakes binding. I didn't like to use but I did a lot of reading on fchat. From what I read I guessed that it was piston corrosion due to the low miles. Also when I had the Scud I got through a set of front pads in the first season and having read about the new RS29 material decided to go down this route before the old material had a go at the discs. So back to the workshop with a big jobs list. Rebuild the callipers with Hill Engineering pistons, new Pagid RS29 pads and new brake hoses. Also after the first short drive I was shocked at the amount of heat that came up from the engine so while the car was in the air I had the manifolds removed and ceramic coated by Zircotec. I also sent for a new pair of Kinetix cats which were also ceramic coated. The brakes are brilliant now and a bit quieter than the Scud. I also remember that it was quite difficult to modulate the Scud brakes at low speed. Its a bit better now but they still have massive initial bite even when cold. The exhaust sound hasn't changed much but the engine bay temp has definitely dropped.
When I bought the car I was aware of seven CS cars available on the UK market. When I collected the car the dealer told me that there is now only one for sale. They can't find any. While it was in their workshop they had four serious enquirers asking if it was for sale, and finally a low mileage car was sold in the last two weeks for £120k GBP. I don't have any knowledge of that car.
John - beautiful car! Was this the blue one Simon Furlonger had? Very good price for the low mileage - I think they said it used to be owned by Fred Goodwin?! There was another 3k ish miles blue one that sold very quickly by Greypaul Birmingham about 2 years ago for £100k as well - same light alcantara interior but without harnesses. Really nice example you managed to pick up there. I'm still holding my breath for a pristine black car with harnesses but they rarely come up. Until then I'm very happy with my rosso scud CS
Yes, That is the Simon Furlonger car. Fred Goodwin was the original owner and appears to have kept it for several years. There is one other previous owner. It does not appear to have been tracked yet but that is all about to change. I expect to double its mileage this year.

That's good to hear. I've just had the brakes/cleaned up on mine as they literally stuck on, she's working great now and is +38k miles now. How does she compare to the Scud ? I think the Strad is a lot more special.
38K mile eh! it'll soon be run in. Re the Scud, its over two years since we parted and I haven't got to grips with the CS yet but:- I miss the explosive start of the Scud and the treadplate floor. In a low gear up a narrow hill with my right foot buried it was like hanging on to a rocket ship. I didn't like the violent gear change because it offended my mechanical sympathy, but that didn't stop me doing it. I get the feeling that the braking and steering on the CS is a tad more precise.
Mike, I haven't looked at your site in awhile but I recall seeing some CS's you list that have a stripe that don't actually have a factory stripe. While one can appreciate the effort you've put into your site (bravo!), it can also be very misleading to provide inaccurate information. Like firefisher, I've tried to mention the mistakes in this thread, but can't catch them all...
Wow, that sold fast even at $170k. FWIW, 3 CS's sold this past week; 1 under $100k and 2 above $150k.
Interesting. In NA we have also seen a decline in CS inventory. At one point in 2010, there were 47 CS's for sale at once. There are 13 now including the two that were listed today.
47? Wow! I think in 2010, the overleveraged were lightening up by choice or by direction from creditors. Here in Australia, we might only have 47 'normal' 360s for sale at a given time in the whole country, so 6 CSs was unusual. I was the first to take the plunge and the others quickly followed.
Yup, according to my market data there were 3 different weeks (4/19, 5/10, 5/17) in 2010 with 47 CS's for sale at any given time. We closed that year with 31 for sale.
I am aware of that. I'm just doing this website as a hobby (and put a few hours a day in it). All the information I have is sent to me by email or I'll find it through cars.com autotrader google forums etc myself. I'm kinda relying on 3rd party information with this website. Not trying to put inaccurate info online on purpose I really appreciate all the help I get from you and the other Fchat guys!

Shame the alcantara is so faded - unless that isn't actually faded and the buyer specd a slightly lighter color? I thought it was only black alcantara offered (which is actually a very dark grey?) Some cars truly look awfully faded, its nice to see a car when its been well shaded from the sun, but then again it can always be retrimmed I guess..
So many look like that light grey with whitish splotches to me...I've only seen pics of 1-2 that still have a nice dark grey...but then I don't see them all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
