At least in sillypore you run a lower risk of being beaten up or murdered in cold blood compared to other countries...

In the low end side of biz, you cannot get locals even if you pay 3k. in am in the fashion biz, cannot get good Spore staff and i am happy to pay. We just have more jobs than people. simple math.

King don't you face problems with getting passes for your staff if foreigners? The regulations are hitting businesses such as yours where I think soon you won't be able to get any foreigners thanks to the regulations whilst at the same time will be unable to get any local staff because such a job is below them. Let's roll on and look for 100k sales staff!

Actually not that bad as far as I can tell. Of course it's worse as an Asian as compared with being an Asian here in Singapore but if one is careful about it, very little racism will present itself.

I am keeping my expansion in Singapore to the min. Too much grief getting staff and not being able to provide the level of service our customers deserve. Expanding more in China. Plenty of staff and customers who have tons of money to spend.

If the govt wants to preserve itself, it's going about the wrong way. Honesty is the best policy. Apologize to your citizens, admit you have made mistakes. High COE prices, congested bus/MRT all due to poor planning. Provide details of a grand plan to set everything right, giving milestone on how and when the govt will improve the current situation. Talking about bringing in more people when you have not fix these problems is beyond stupid. A major F up in PR. Show your sincerity to change. Treat all citizens the same regardless if they are in opposition wards. Change your mindset on just taxing and making revenue. We already have massive reserves. Solve the population problem by understanding why Sporeans are not making enough babies. Your current policies to encourage having more babies is a joke. If this problem is not solved, bringing in more immigrants will only be a temp solution. bottom line is we need more babies. Help with the financial cost of bringing up a child. When a govt got the money it helps to solve a lot of problems. Problem is this govt only knows how to hoard money and does not share this with it's citizens. In this budget, the minister will increase property tax for luxury housing. We are being tax because we are rich. If we are tax and this money goes to helping others, that is ok. but we have lots of reserve and as usual a huge surplus. So why have this tax. Its just to pacify the average sporeans. We are not your punching bag. We are the ones paying the most taxes, providing employment and making the economy tick. Just because we are a minority in numbers does not mean we can be pushed around. I am an extremely disappointed Sporean and very concern where this govt is leading us. So honestly, i don't care if the PAP is preserve. Why should i if it does not learn from it's mistake and does not change and only thinks they are the one and only party that can govern Spore. You guys are living in the past. For your own sake, learn and change while there is still time.

What you say makes very good sense. Question is - of the hundreds of cadres and MPs in PAP, why is it that none of them seems to have seen this??

Bravo, u deserve a standing ovation!

Some do, some did but it's a blanket party in there. None willing to stand against cos they're all too comfortable. There were several wrongs recently & they simply refused to apologize, choosing to divert with fancy words.

Inflated ego doesn't go well with the masses. Like King said, apologize sincerely, roll up your sleeves then come to ground & work with us together. Otherwise, it's like monkeys clinging onto a falling tree.

Someone once said, "A King is to serve his people & not to be served."
