Exacto and if we were to do a run of road P 4/5 C's that's the road we'd go down.

As The Venom is a lot faster than P1 and F70 0-300 maybe McLaren and Ferrari should have as well...

Do not know if I mentioned this before or not, but the Enzo replacement has a Type F150 chassis, which is why you hear the factory refer to it by that shorthand. The FF is the Type F151 and the F12 is the Type 152, so you can tell the F150 has been in development longer. The 458 is the Type 142 and I do not know what chassis used all the numbers in between. California is a Type 149.

So regardless of what she is eventually named, referring to her as an F150 will always be correct.

Jim- Was the P4/5 assigned a chassis number, or did it retain the Enzo chassis number? Only way I have been able to find them is to look at the ECE labels on European cars, which shows the chassis type.

Ferrari P 4/5 by Pininfarina retains it 2003 Ferrari VIN number and legally that's what it is.

In 2006 Luca, Andrea, and I agreed that it would no longer be considered an Enzo but would officially be Ferrari P 4/5 by Pininfarina and badged with a Ferrari nose badge, side SF shields, rear black Cavallino, Ferrari script on rear grill, other existing Ferrari Badges and several PF badges including "Designed and Engineered by PF"

Terry, I mentioned this several hundred pages ago, wow this thread is long. The number F150 was reserved many years ago for this project. Ferrari reserve always certain numbers for the supercar projects, as such the F40 is the F120, the F50 is the F130 and the Enzo is the F140 respectively.

Personally I think they never intended to build 500.
That was just a decoy in order to come in at number below the F70 build
They will sell at least 100 plus units to folks who couldn't get F70's
That leaves 275 for the rest which should be very easy to accomplish

I though Ferrari had nixed the Stratos as a commercial venture, or are they using a different base car than the original?

Michael- Thanks, must have missed that. This thread is long. I knew the Enzo was the Type F140 because the engine was the Type F140A, but still do not know what the 599 chassis type is with its Type F140C engine. Have to ask one of the Euro 599 owners. The F50 has a Type F130 engine, so I should have figured out that one.

Something else for Carbon to chase. A list of chassis types.

If a private person wants to buy a 430 and pay someone who owns The New Stratos IP to modify their 430 into a New Stratos a private person can do that. The original New Stratos was built by PF. Pf may not build the next batch but someone will. This is no different than what many tuners do.

yes, the new style stratos project production plans stemmed from the fact that they wanted to take new 430s to build upon, presumably for being new and for warranty, which Ferrari refused to supply
they could certainly buy their own or have customer supply the cars, but appears they decided to not go that route (to date)
