Davide unfortunately I think you are wrong.... It will be: "the P1 is faster in this or that..." "the P1 has more downforce" "the P1 can drive in electric mode" "the P1 is more beautiful" ..... oh I almost forgot..... "It looks like the P4/5" ;-) Anyway looking forward to being in Geneva next week to at least compare them visually Chalstrad are you going to be in Geneva?
there are lots of people who have actually seen the car and have no desire to comment on the renderings. me included. i must have seen the same car as peter - it was also red
happy to read this the guys dont realize ferrari they made f70 with a ****ing look for ten years and more, all renders i seen they are so simply
that even with DRS enabled, and the wing flat, it still generates more Drag then without having a wing... Simple physics, having an object in the way of the airflow (no matter how flat/thin/angled/shaped) will produce drag P.S. I am willing to bet the 17s result is achieved with the wing totally retracted. Simply put in the hot lap mode with the wing up, it does not accelerate to 300km/h in 17s, and thus the figure is not important to your precious N-ring time, While what ever figure Ferrari produces will be exactly the same as in any mode.
President of the Ferrari Club France... leaving in Switzerland; i guess the 75% rich tax avoidance was put to good use with the purchase of the next F-supercar (I hate calling it F70, F150, and hope ferrari will have a more romantic name for it).
As R&T proved, the production Enzo was in reality considerably quicker than the production F1, no matter what McLaren claimed on paper. On that note, I find it very funny that people have already made up their minds on which is quicker even though we know nothing about the F150. For all we know it might be Formula 1 quick or, on the other hand, barely quicker than a 458...
I'm quite sure it was stated earlier that the car would be presented simultaneously at Geneva and Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari the 7th or 8th.
I can confirm what has been posted, March 5th. I'm not worried about that . I divulged some numbers awhile ago that the mule put up and those numbers are very quick. I remain optimistic about Ferrari's record attempt.
On the subject of lap times, sure the P1 may do 6.55 or whatever BUT....how many of the customers buying these cars have the ability to drive them to their full potential. Lets look at the MP4 12C vs the 458 for a moment, the McLaren is to some degree been described as the faster, yet the 458 is described as the more enjoyable of the two to drive. In my opinion its pointless building a super lap time car that doesnt feel special when driven on ordinary roads at ordinary speeds and this is where the emotive aspect of the V12 will count.
I wish Ferrari would officially name the new supercar 'Testarossa' or even 'F70 Testarossa' Still in my opinion the most beautiful and evocative name for an Italian sports car ever conceived.
Do you own a 12C or have you driven one? I personally haven't heard any 12C owner complaining about its lack of 'emotion'.
Testarossa was first a very successful race car and then a road car. It would be inappropriate to name the new super-Ferrari after a 1980s normal production car. Especially if it does not have red cam covers...
Perhaps. Just as it was probably wrong to give a 599 variant the 'GTO' monicker. Yes, the Testarossa of the 80's seems 'normal' now. But upon its introduction it was among the fastest road cars available. Not so normal in its prime. I just want to see the name grace a new Ferrari again one day. Hell, I want to see a new Ferrari with a new flat 12 engine again! I'm not holding my breath however....
That articles is two weeks old, you can be sure that if a remder was on a major site that long ago, it's been posted. Funny thread to watch, looking forward to the comparisons once all of them come out!
Well almost every single article by the motoring press, UK and otherwise have commented on the clinical feeling of the McLaren. Reading the articles a common thread is the McLaren feels fantastic when driven 10/10s but the 458 is more rewarding more of the time. Yes, its subjective.
