Taking an Enzo for example there are a number parts that are very hard to source today and stupid expensive. Front lifters for example. For us because of our Engineering resources this isn't an issue but taking dash boards and ECU's for example replacing them "dead stock" will become insanely expensive. We're major modifiers and have been for years. We modified my 275 GTB over 40 years ago when I became disinclined to use a sponge wrapped in a chamois for a defroster. Others may not enjoy going this route. IMO unless you're willing to modify as time goes on owning a KERS car may not be for you.

In race system KERS the FIA requires that it shuts down totally if KERS batteries overheat as if they do they China Syndrome and you can not put them out if they catch on fire because as they do they release oxygen. On P 4/5 C which uses a F1 KERS system the FIA also required us to have an impact switch set at 3 G's that when tripped shut the system down. During our last 24 we tripped that sensor and had to reset it. I'm sure F70/P1/918 will all have limp/No KERS mode but your 959 example is instructive. If you want to own a 959 today I strongly advise buying one with modified electronics. I enjoyed racing with KERS but our next race car won't use it nor will our next road car. We going back to BASICs as is Porsche with the 960.

On the topic of the proposed Porsche 960, that car is being suggested as a 458/MP412C rival. I do not see it being closely related to the much more expensive 918...

That's a different car. The car I'm talking about which I believe will be called the 960 is a de KERS'd 918 that will sell for about 600K USD.

Few weeks ago I wrote here on thread that we will see a lot of negative impressions on F70 since people expect "miracle from 22nd century". Recently, expectations are even higher since people who saw car were more than wow-ed. I was worried that we will see 458ish lights and wide front intake area like on 458. To be honest I expected new design era starting from F70, where we will see new headlight design that will be followed by future cars. Seems that F70 is follower too.

Also, Napolis posted great inputs about possible battery problems in last few pages! Hat down for knowledge :)

Go take out a modern sports car seat with power adjustments and weigh it. You will be shocked at how heavy those things are. Add airbags (which many cars have) and you quickly realize how much weight seats add to a car. You can easily save well over 100 pounds by leaving out the seats.

Please go back and read my post about how to change your posts-per-page settings. You should only be on page 70.

That's why the sport seat option is a popular Ferrari upgrade.

De Kers'd F150 plus TT (have a look on underground racing production) would be the right solution to avoid battery problems in the coming 20 years, my 2 cents!

Most of the people who buy this car will drive it, what, 1,000 miles a year? MAYBE. Perhaps they are banking on the low mileage and very few driving trips that the average buyer is likely to subject the car to.

That would be the best way to ruin an atmospheric jewel of a V12... :(

The most interesting part of that picture is the top right hand corner where the black finishes and the white starts. Is the wing so long?

And also, has anyone ever seen a prancing horse standing on one leg?

Or the other one isn't a leg?!

I have been riding horses for years and yes, you can capture a horse prancing on its one leg but only momentarily; at the moment when it is about to start gallopping again. That said, I am sure we all know the story behind the emblem, the Italian Regiment, Barracca and all. ;)

Retract my comments about the white corner now that I've seen the original pic, but still confused on the identity of the fourth appendix on that horse ...

Depends on how strong the coffee is.
