Probably more accurate for me to say high praise from someone without an agenda. I have a lot of respect for what you've accomplished, but you couldn't be more wrong on the FF. Ferrari has managed to create a car that could handily embarrass 99.9% of anything out there, yet is still capable of grabbing some milk during a blizzard.

I quite agree on the FF. And yes, I've driven one too :)

The 4WD technology in this vehicle is BRILLIANT. The technology used to augment rear-wheel drive with occasional front-wheel drive is VERY well engineered, VERY well executed/packaged, and VERY sate of the art.

But the amazing thing is that it drives very much like a 2-seat GT car, even though there is ample room for driver plus 3 passengers. And i don't mean just the acceleration (which is more than satisfying ;)) ... i mean the low polar moment of inertia that Ferrari achieved, giving the vehicle a "nimble" quality to the handling that belies its size.

If i lived in a climate that could make good use of the 4WD, and/or needed a true 4-seat vehicle, there would definitely be one in my garage :)

If you remove the battery and electric motor for the sole purpose of saving weight, you will also reduce peak horsepower, and substantially reduce low-end torque ... and raise the center-of-gravity of the vehicle as well.

The extra weight of KERS is not dead-weight ballast ;)

Battery is not a problem because it's based centrally in the car and :) sometimes people make strage thinks for no reason http://www.benzinsider.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/mercedes-benz-slr-mclaren-tuning.jpg

Not on a Lambo. Most guys can do it in their garage with jack-stands and hand tools. It's not a hard job.

I think that center member on the new teaser photo is actually a "blade." It looks like the center opening is not one opening but rather two openings separated by a blade. Look at the camo car a few posts back.

I am sorry Jcsta79 but that is a horrible thing to do to a N/A masterpiece. Turbochargers are the easy way of producing power but they come at the cost of linearity, responsiveness, high-end power (in relative terms - a 458 is much happier at 8500 compared to an MP4 12C for example), drivability and sound. They are just not as pure or as magical as a N/A engine of the same power.

And why the F40 is still considered as one of the top ferrari ever produced, ever?

Don't you remember that is was a TT V8? with a great power, sound, ...!

An Orwellian future... First it is the big displacement N/A engines, then it's internal combustion engines altogether...

Totally agree ... on the 4WD and the feel you get from the car while driving it. Every time I've driven the FF I have been mighty impressed with it. However, the looks ... made me swing to buying one of the last 612 OTO's ever produced. Love that car but will admit that the FF drive is much more exiting. I just fell for the design of the 612 from the moment I first saw it. A true classic imo.

PS: Tuesday is just around the corner. I can't wait to see the reactions in this thread. Those who say they won't be impressed with the F150 ... well ... I'll refrain from comments. We all know that there will be pros and cons with regards to it's looks but Tuesday will be a great day for Ferrari and all of us who are a true enthusiast of the brand ;)

My wife looked at an FF. She thought it was too ugly to own. She looked at a Bentley CGT liked it and bought one. How is this an agenda? If she wanted an FF she'd own one.
She didn't. Other's are happy with their FF's. Fine with me but stating that I think it's an abomination because I have an agenda is silly.

I think the FF will always divide opinion and perhaps thats the great thing about it. For me its genius is its package and its technology, could she have been given a more sexy dress, without doubt yes but the more I see of the FF the better it seems to look, again subjective.

As for the F150 or whatever they call it I am sure it will also divide opinion, me I am hoping the car is both a look forward stylistically but with some notable design elements from the past...
