Robert, thank you for your invaluable input! Here is an interesting old pic. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is there more than one UK RHD Pearl White car, and do you know this one's chassis number? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Can anyone decipher the manufacture date of these tires? Thanks in advance! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Joe In my mission to get a list of all the RHD Countachs, I've only just started on all the RHD Anniversarys, so sorry for the sudden splurge of posts, but thought I'd add the answers to all the questions as I went through. G25JJW is 12844; D111MAT is 12868, K814YVV is 12007. Yes there were several pearl white cars: RHD pre-88 QVs I know of 4 RHD pearl white cars, possibly a fifth. Anniversarys, I only konw of 3 pearl white RHD cars, but I may come across more. One for you: you said you have a picture of Mike Perry at Portman with loads of the 88 QVs with a big smile on his face - any chance of digging it out. I'd LOVE to see that. (oops - on the other Countach thread of course!). Hope all is well. Robert
yes there are 3 if my memory serves me ( 2 registered on L reg are the one next to each other chassis both been seen on here) Then there is one more ( purchased new collect from the factory he also had another 25th which from talking to him due to he was the owner off mine, 2 prior to me) I believe he still has it but have not spoken to him for a long while.
Robert your input is invaluable! I think with your help we have the world's premier resource for this variant. Thank you.
No, he was first I believe an had something to do with Portman a director or investor if I recall it was the next owner. Believe that was what spurred him on to order the candy apple blue as we know it.. I had a long chat with about 4 years ago.. He was running a specialist car insurance hire company..
you will be mentioning Barry Martina an good old Del Boy along with Peter Leonard Morgan or John Morrison next, the good old days ooo for got the alpine team promotion truck that used to come to the cosy classic weekend always for get his name...
Don't forget Pullicino Classics.. Robert I think this is your image, would I be correct in saying this is the ex-Steve F 25th? Image Unavailable, Please Login
More like a loving home. I've done more to my car in the last 6 months than the original owner did since new. The previous owner could care less if it was missing those annoying black little screws on the interior. I spent weeks getting ALL those little black screws and finally restored the interior to basically new and did it all on my own without anyone's help. I even sourced out NOS original Alpine speakers. =) Red wasn't the color I wanted but it has grown on me. I call mine the "redhead" I might name her Ginger one day. lol
A bit of an odd question....if you can imagine it... If you were to take a globe and use it like a pin cushion (similar to a google map), how would the layout stack up around the world as to How Many Countachs live in what countries around the world? just curious, I'm amazed at how well so many of them are documented!
I don't think we covered this one: RHD UK car delivered by Portman with sports seats, big wing, UK-registered G 13 LAM Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Joe in your description of this car you mention "big wing". Are there more than one factory wing option on the 25th? If so, could post pics of the different styles?
Peter, I believe 25ths that were built for the UK and were ORIGINALLY ordered with a wing received these, likely over-supply from the big wings fitted to the Eu QV. Same as the big wings fitted to LP400S S3, LP500S & QV. These wings are simply bigger & more raked than the typical USA wings. There is a thread on this somewhere. If you look throughout this thread you can spot the difference in the wing sizes of the RHD UK cars versus the USA cars, for example. Image Unavailable, Please Login
