That's not it; it's on the leading edge. Here's an example of the inlet on a Fiero. Thank you for responding though, I appreciate it. I also apologize for hijacking the thread with a Fiero but I didn't have a link to an actual Countach but I will look. I think I'm having PTSD from remembering working on those things.

BTW, Nice looking cars, what a site to see if you were driving by; the red Countachs not the Fiero.

Oh! I think you are talking about this one? This company, Lambo Rijssen from the Netherlands along with Koeing made a couple different versions back in the day.

Bingo, That's the one. Thank you. So it is a real Countach with a body kit? What are the vents for brakes, turbo?? Cool, I couldn't find it for the life of me.

It is a body-modifiying kit. The vents are only cosmetic in all examples I have seen, but they could easily be made funtional with some more work. The 88.5 Countach has a little vent in the lower straked sill for brake cooling that was put there by the factory. That, and of course those on the Anniversary, are the only factory applications of those types of vents.

Seems that kit cars & replicas are often based on these Koeing cars...

I think some of the Ferruccio signatures may be suspect :)

It was a great gathering at the cars and coffee this morning. We had a 75 LP 400 and 79 LP 400S and 75 Urraco 111. It was a good opportunity to compare notes and find out what we have done to cars over the winter months. Tom/Colorado

Why does the white CT have big side marker lights? Also, what's the pinkish stuff right above the rear wheel well?

Well, not all lp400 are perfect. This one needs a bit body work and repaint. The owner raced the car many years ago. It still have race tires on it. Tom/Colorado

Can't say I've ever seen an LP400 that old have the larger side marker lights.

    Thanks for sharing Tom.

I believe the LP400 is 1120090 and I think it was imported from the Middle East in the mid-80s. The style of side-markers depended in who did the compliance work at the time. Original color was blue.

I believe the LP400S is 1121094. Original color was dark blue (Blu Acapulco).

I've been contemplating on taking off the rear markers and going to the small fronts on mine.

I'll give it some thought in the next couple of months and may end up doing it as a summer project.

On a red car they don't look as bad as say a white car.

Correct Joe. Originally sold to Saudi Arabia, then imported by Cometto Bros. in Denver, CO during the grey market boom, and those lights were added then. It has lived its whole life first in Saudi Arabia, then in Colorado! I think you said it was gold originally, though!

Would that happen to be David's lp400s?
That is a great display of 3 cars that we usually do not see together.
