Please man, PLEASE those 30% figures are just due to the Aventador. Lamborghini has been rehasing the Countach since the 70s. Its time to move on but they can't because if they don't produce the silliest childish looking, LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME batmobile wanna be race car they don't sell. Elegant cars with purposeful lines for driving or tracking don't mean much to the rappers and lottery winners who just want to attract women. I don't bash Mclaren, Mercedes or Porsche but Lamborghinis for the most part are much like their founder. Childish, silly and not with much purpose in the car world other than trying to antagonize. BTW that car looks horrible. If my wife bought that for me I'd drink a bottle of poison to kill myself or tell her to.
We are all frustrated by the lack of any hard news about the car. When anything resembling news surfaces it's discussed but trying to direct the course of an Internet thread is like herding cats.
I was thinking the previous one was named Ferrari " Enzo Ferrari" the next one could be Ferrari " Dino Ferrari".....
I was talking with a friend of mine that works at Ferrari of Ft Lauderdale. Someone just traded a white Aventador for a white 458 & we were looking at the Aventador in the garage. Guy told me, "The problem with Lamborhgini, they just try too damn hard".
Mmmmmm.... that one off show car convertible Aventador was the same trick and was about 1 days news. After that --- yawn. Anyone remember what it looked like? They are doing "something" to seem relevant but they cry wolf too often. It's like every show they have to have some "amazing" machine that no one can buy. Look at the slow play of the F70. That is brilliant PR. Making a crazy looking 4.5 million dollar car for some oil barons does nothing to help sell Lambo's. What they need is a 458 and Mac 12c fighter. Until then, it's all smoke and mirrors while their best selling/lowest price entry level car is like 12 years old. To me, a waste of resources if it took one dime or second away from replacing the Gallardo.
The Sesto Elemento was the same thing..and people only talk about it when Lambo themselves talk about it. A lot of noise from Lambo that is very quickly forgotten..
Decaf, dude. Decaf. Manners? Practice what you preach. A worthy hijack? P 4/5 ain't too shabby, but for me, I say "Say hello to Marisa." Image Unavailable, Please Login
A great tribute, but don't we all think of a small car when we think of a 'Dino'? Back to names like F40? F50? So would it be F66? Would sound wunderful in Italian Gr. Martin
There's only like 20 threads on the 4/5 on Fchat going back years. There's only one on the F70. This is the most hijacked thread on Fchat because there's not much really to talk about -- yet.
Oh, I am sorry--did I hurt your feelings.....dude?! I am sorry--I tried to go down to your level but it is not easy....
I find even more interesting the fact that Luca took upon himself to come up with the name. I hope he picked a good one.
That Lambo has no dsg gearbox, no hybrid systems, traditional 4wd and no visible active aero. Not impressed.
I tried to be subtle, but I guess it is lost on you. I wear size 12 shoes. I will not, however, suggest to anyone who happens to like the P1 to stick their foot in their mouth. It is perfectly reasonable and logical to discuss the P1 or any other super/hyper car here. In as much as we have no complete photos of the F-150 yet, there is nothing wrong with photoshops, camouflage shots, spy photos, and references to other supercars. It escapes me why you want to ignore the obvious. Fawning over a car that is yet to be introduced seems a bit premature. And suggesting it is the best thing since chocolate ice cream is also a bit premature. It may very well turn out to be everything everyone wants, but there is no way for any of us to know that yet. Second, the great thing about aerodynamics is that it is science. As such it behaves according to laws, and its behavior is predictable. To see how McL or Porsche, or Pagani or the P 4/5 handled these issues is something I like. To see similar features on the new F-car that are similar to other cars is welcome here. What is not welcome here is being intemperate and rude to many members here who have earned their chops.
Even if he denies it, its pretty clear that Jim is bitter against Ferrari. I don't know if anyone noticed but he praised every new cars that comes out except Ferrari models. New Vette, new Viper, new McLaren, New Lambo.. But FF is an abomination, 458 is meh, F12 is meh, F70 is slower than McLaren.. We get it Jim.
Some of what you've said here is actually very ignorant of you. Everyone is allowed to express what the feel or think. You have your own opinion, so does Jim. I don't think anything Jim has posted here has taken up the entire thread, blocking anyone else with info or something to share about the F70 to do so. If you have something about the F70 to share, then do so. If you do not like what Jim is saying ignore it and read what you care about. Unlike you, some of us have actually learnt something from Jim's posts (even though I don't know the man personally), I enjoying reading what he has to say. Even if our opinion might be different, I respect the man. It makes no sense to get upset because someone might not be as much a ferrari fan, or might like something different from what you like. It's a forum people! we come here to simply share/exchange information on what we are all passionate about. No disrespect to anyone, let's have fun! I can't wait to see the F70!!! Best.
Mostly to incorporate front end teaser. Greenhouse prob too big - Enzo-sized. Image Unavailable, Please Login
There is an interesting dynamic on this thread. Pretty much no matter what is the subject of discussion, the thread always goes back to the P4/5. All posts lead to the P4/5. A great and historic series of vehicles, but it is not why we are here. Let us see what happens after Tuesday.
