Wow, this car/wheel combination gives the car a nice aggressive look, yet at the same time an understated elegance. Since the tires are of such a low profile construction (they look a bit like rubber bands), I'd be worried about an overly harsh ride and the likelihood of blowouts.

    What are your thoughts?

Why the trend to go as big as possible? They look and must drive like wagon wheels with only 1 inch of rubber and air.

This is a problem because when I see a nice design I don't see many in the 18's I would put on my car because they have migrated up to 19, 20, and larger. I don't get it, these too large wheels make the brakes look too small and sacrifice ride quality. I would like to see a trend towards more normal wheels with enough rubber on them. For some reason the tires on this wheel aren't wide enough to cover the rims. If you took a hard turn you would be running metal on pavement. I like it when the tire actually sticks out past the rim.

Anyway there is an ADV.1 wheel style I like and wonder if you can get them made in 18 with bolt patterns and custom offsets that would fit? More of a general question right now as not ready to purchase just yet but knowing would be helpful.

Considering they never made a W221 S55 AMG (only S63 an S65 AMG lines), I'd go with the latter. ;)

Also doesnt have cross drilled rotors in rear. All AMGs seem to have cross drilled at all 4 corners....

    Sorry ,that looks pretty bad.

Needs to be lowered a lot to pull it off and 20s or 21s may have been better suited.

Poorly executed. Another example of throwing some wheels on a car with no thought to the end product, and I back changing wheels. But stance, fitment and making things look balanced are important.
