You are correct. 3 cars times 4.5+ million for putting a bunch of wings on an Aventador. Not bad money if you can make it.
True.... they know they have customers for a certain niche and aren't afraid to build it. Lambo doesn't care that some will laugh. They have become a rebellious bunch ;-) The noisy neighbors of the auto world....
what I really want to see is a production version of the ATS rebirth. that is a gorgous looking thing. An evolution of one of the most beautiful cars of all time, the ATS 2500 GT.
It does lack both originality and taste. Lamborghini is hard to figure. I thought the Urus SUV concept was interesting and original. Now this....
What about the front engine model concept they were suppose to bring to Geneva? The Urus was interesting but its hard to imagine 3,000 people buying the Urus for 300k. They would need to sell that many just to break even, I read some where.
I think it is a great marketing operation and the only way to draw some attention to them in such a hypercar full show. And as a business man...I can't help but wish I had the kind of marketing power of Lambo to get people to pay top dollar for a reskinned and high power Aventador. The Veneno goes to show the strategy of Lambo, Ferrari and McLaren. I think McLaren is the new competition for Ferrari with Lambo falling to a third place.
I have been monitoring the number of views on this thread. They are updated hourly. Over the last three hours, there have been slightly over 5,000 hits, just about one every two seconds. Once again this is the kind of excitement that only Ferrari (and Apple) can stir up. They are very good at this game, and they are on top of their game.
Laughable? Safe design? Or boring? I think its a step back style wise from the F1 but I k now its technically superrior. This Lambo though, looks like something the Joker stole from Batman's cave and tricked it out just to piss Batman off.
Yeah. That's probably why it doesn't look like they are going forward with it. My comment was about how inconsistent in the extreme their concepts are.
this about the same excitement/interest level a huge hurricane stirs up on weather enthusiast boards or a new big videogame on those. any big news story will stir up huge amounts of discussion in a short time. its not limited to apple or Ferrari. also ferrari really shouldnt strive to be anything like apple.
I have the feeling Lambo is trying to make the point that they too can design a car with pontoon-style fenders, so what Ferrari will show tomorrow is no big deal. Also, they are making the point that LSD consumption in Sant'Agata is rampant!
absolutwly. storm2k is a big one. also neogaf is a videogaming forum that absolutely dwRfs this forum for activity. mostly because car enthusiasts are more active off the internet. but as for activity its not the busiest. ive gone back to a thread a few hours later to find 30-40 pages and thats at 50 posts per page. absolute insanity. hype is very powerful.
This thread has had Frank Langella and weather forums discussions IN THE SAME DAY! This has to be some sort of record, no?
