    In the past 10 -15 years , has there been a Ferrari penned ( not supervised ) by a native Italian ? A Porsche / BMW/ MBZ by a German, a McLaren by a Brit ?

Slightly off topic - like killing time before start of a GP or before Christmas morning - anybody else have big time issues getting C&D to work on iPad. Read the reviews on apps page and it's just me, it would seem.

Though their boss is not, the two lead designers for the McLaren P1 are both British.

If you get those photos from Jim, I'd love if you could share them with me.

I'm slowly becoming a fan of Audi. I already like my A3 more than my Bimmer.

Ask ANY designer anywhere... it isn't who pens it, it's who gives the direction and approves it that matters.

Audi controls Lambo's engineering, manufacturing, design, and marketing.

I gotta admit, I like the fact that Lamborghini is willing to take chances.

In my mind they are supposed to be over the top, in your face, extreme examples of design. I think they pushed too far on this one but its better than not pushing enough and playing it safe such as targeting your existing client base wife's needs *cough* California *cough*.

I'm hoping Ferrari knocks it out of the park with the F70 because other than the 458 their latest offerings are more marketing exercises than designs of timeless form and beauty. Frankly, I think they are getting too big and now play it safe.

I hope and pray we see Maranello return to the P3 design language and stone anyone who would go down the FF route.

Most likely on the Ferrari.com sight. I've looked but it's too early. Facebook also.

While we wait for the F150, here's a rendering of the Sergio concept.

you have pretty much summed up what I have been saying.
Ferrari needs to focus more on passion and less on track times.
leave other companies to fight over tenths of a second track time differences and focus on prettier cars.

Real bugs in the teeth stuff there! :)

You don't want to be driving under a flock of Pigeons.

While I don't necessarily disagree, you will get the "poser" card thrown at you

I personally could not care if the Mac P1 does 400 MPH and less than 1 minute on some track in Germany, if the F70 is really fast and looks better than the P1 (kinda hard not too...), it will be a better car in my opinion.

being called a poser on a ferrari site with hardcore fanboys on it is rather humorous.
but anyway people truly invested in performance over style are driving around in Moslers and nobles not ferraris or lamborghinis.
Maybe they might have an Atom v8.

I don't think the whole "poser card" arguement holds any water in regards to Ferrari vs. Lamborghine, etc.

At the end of the day they are all exotic cars and flashy to 99.9% of the population. If anyone's afraid of the poseur card they need to forego all of them and drive a Prius or a Camry.
