Mayor didnt you mention a few posts back that you didnt care if it did 400kmph on some german road. My god, thats beautiful. Its either the camera distortion or thats just an incredibly low roof. The mirror extend out a lot.
No, I said 400 MPH. I would say this looks a lot better than the "photos" we've seen to this point. I love the low swooping hood so far. Of course, the Enzo had that too but this looks more curvy.
Tool-Fan said before, that 0-300 isn't the record: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/142121863-post6580.html
Mirrors seem strange. Almost as if they have something under the cover to distort the profile of the car.
It's a joke from the comments in the last thread - did you miss the part where I bet unIntelligentOperator that it was the new Ferrari hypercar under the cover? If I was wrong, I had to change my avatar to a Ferrari. If he was wrong I got a free year of FerrariChat Rossa. Hardly fair, but he said okay... And to think I was really looking forward to having this awesome F50 shot flying next to my name. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
Tool-Fan might not be able to talk about it yet but it seems pretty clear from all the hints that Ferrari want to be the first to take a series production car around the 'Ring in under 7:00. So far no one has done that - and don't talk to me about Radical BS. Both the new Ferrari and new McLaren will be aiming for the best time possible around that circuit and apparently Ferrari will be happy to claim first rights even if the P1 is ultimately quicker. We'll have to see how the battle shapes up - the problem is can we expect either manufacturer to play fair, especially with what Pagani appears to have done with cut slicks at Dunsfold to get them a much quicker time then that car deserved? It is going to be an ugly battle. >8^) ER
If that's directed towards me I'm not complaining as I know I'm going to love the car(I've loved all their super cars), it's just an observation. Mirrors just seem rather high and wide when compared with overall profile.,,,,
AFAIK neither the La or P1 mules had set foot on the ring,or have they already? If they intend to make the Ring outings a high profile media event it would be interesting.
I have wondered about this too. I wonder if they use computer software for this. In F1, it's remarkable how much they can predict what a car's time will be on any given track.
Back on the f70 thread when he first said Ferrari were after a record end of last year...was something like Ferrari are after one record its not top speed or a ring time ...(not word for word)
I doubt that either one have in real life - probably quite a few virtual laps already. With as much attention as that track gets I think we'd know of either car's presence there long before the ink was dry on a press release. >8^) ER
Somebody did remark about how accurate their simulators can get, down to just a second of the mark(Maybe it was Jim who said this).Eitherways customers have been shown a simulated Ring time which is very impressive.
This is serious business man, no time for joking. Waited over 10 years for this moment to happen again lol.
