Ferrari LaFerrari - the next Special Limited Series

Some comments . . . my 2 cents.

Front view. Nice, aggressive. Looks good with the doors up.
Front 3/4ths. 458-ish and disappointing.
Side view. 458 with bolt-on parts. The rear half of the car is awkward.
Interior. Amazing.
Rear 3/4ths. 458-ish.
Rear view. My favorite. However, Ferrari did deceive us with the leaked photo. The vertical element is not continuous as the picture suggested.

View from above. Nice.

I guess my problem is that I didn't expect so many 458 cues.

I do see elements of the various cars that Lambofreak has identified. Especially the McL F-1. From the side, there is a clear resemblance.

The way this Le-car has come together, however, I believe it is a case of design convergence, not design copy. Maybe design influence is stronger.

But if someone is going to copy a car, it should turn out better than this. And the name sucks, as almost everyone has agreed.


The 360 was not my favorite design at first. They made it much better with the 430. Perhaps there will be an evolution on this one that let's it improve.

If THE FERRARI is that bad to you, you must have just come out of a coma from seeing the new Lambo. Talk about HIDEOUS on every single level. I'm still laughing at the italian stripe along the side. LOL!!!!!

 

When I first heard the name my first thought was (OK second, first was a string of who's on first Ferrari, Ferrari jokes) how do you follow up that name? The only thing that makes sense to me is that Luca doesn't intend to. This is his swan song.

 

Totally agree on all accounts. The side view just isn't balanced. The front looks very delicate while the rear is lumpy and tacked on.

The hood scoop looks a bit like that of a tesla roadster.

The straight on front and rear views are something else though!

 

Hey dumb*ss, I put Lambofreak like I could have put Ferrarifreak or McLarenfreak since I love them all. Putting Ferrarifreak on FerrariChat would have been a bit boring and non-imaginative. Also, if I would be a "Ferrari hater" coming to FerrariChat I would have chosen a different, more discreet name, don't you think?... Wait... you don't

I agree some what. This area looks bulky in pictures. Also makes the rear wheels look smaller then it is.

 

The only way i see the name kind of working is relative to the others, with so many "competitors" being released at the same time, there is the 918, the p1, the huarya, and then "The Ferrari"

 

Lambofreak ban upgraded from two days to two weeks for name calling.
