I like it. That simple. I bet it would look mean in black
I'd actually prefer that. It's not as silly but twice as fun if you catch my drift. Even the Ferrari LdM would have been better than the Ferrari LaFerrari. You saw the car beforehand, right?
Maybe that's the name the team behind him convinced the Ferrari President not to use. All the best, Andrew.
Don't you have another Forum you could go and bore the hell out of? Opinions are great but yours have turned into insults towards what is a new and inovative product produced by the company followed with interest and indeed love by 99% of all on here, so hearing the rants of a fellow who will probably never see a La Ferrari other than in a magazine are quite frankly unwanted, so goodbye.
Exactly. Overall, I think it looks very nice - though there are some styling features I'm not immensely keen on. Perhaps the features that look a little strange to me now will grow on me in time. All the best, Andrew.
In two weeks Laferrari will drive in circles around his beloved Lambo's. He will be seriously depressed
You really think that there's anyone who could say no to Luca? Don't get me wrong, I admire what the man has done immensely. If Enzo made Ferrari Luca saved it. As an old time fan I may not like what he's done in terms of marketing and design but I don't know if any other approach would have been successful.
You´ve got to love f-chat!! Too bad about the "lamboman" he surely was entertaining...i keep feeling sorry for him as i know he will have bad dreams with ferrari side intakes for a couple of weeks!!!
Let's talk KERS for a moment : - battery pack weighs 60kg = 132 pounds. WELL DONE - battery pack is charged by braking (of course, hence "KERS"), and/or from the gas motor at times, such as when the KERS system is keeping extra revs during cornering (which also helps responsiveness during exit, naturally). VERY WELL DONE
Your so right, Lambofreak's comments were making my day, absolutely hilarious. I'm not sure banning him was needed, every village needs an idiot
I see where they are going with the name...it's like Boss by Hugo Boss or E Zegna by Ermenegildo Zegna. At least there's no "Powered by Ferrari" stickers on it...yet... Seriously, I imagine the idea was that the last car was the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari and the only thing greater than the man is the company he created...hence LaFerrari. Where they go from here I can't imagine...
Looks good from some angles, no wow factor I was expecting. Looks a lot better in black. 0-300 in 15s is brutal! The front overhang is huge.
Agreed. I think of him as a skilled businessman and leader, certainly the savour of the company, but he has been a poor ambassador for the history of the Ferrari marque and I would take a slightly different design direction if I was in charge. All the best, Andrew.
I received the e-mail from FNA and haven't gone through all the info, but what I saw is awesome! Love it!
After a couple hours, it's already grown on me. I like it. The front end is definitely not great, but this is essentially a problem with all hypercars to one degree or another. The notion that the air intake is somehow "reversed" improperly is pretty hilarious. You can't argue with the cars performance. Just looks and sounds awesome at speed. In black? Oh my. This is an epic time for the car enthusiast and this is at or right under the top of the heap. I will also say that I also was seriously underwhelmed by the P1 when I first saw it, but now seeing it on the stage in Geneva and in contrast with the, uh, LaFerrari, I really think it looks pretty cool in it's own right. What a time if you love cars. For the record, if anyone is really put off by the design or the name of the car, feel free to PM me and I'll take that allocation off your hands!
The problem with the name is that with the "Ferrari Enzo Ferrari" you could just call it the Ferrari Enzo. But now, what are we going to say: the Ferrari La? edit: I suppose that in a few days everybody will be calling it the Ferrari LF and that´s the end of the story.
After all the hype there was bound to be some disappointment and I always reserve judgement until seeing it up close and personal but I'm impressed. I was hoping for more aero sculpting given the mules but Ces't la vie. There's a little P4/5 in it but as an Enzo successor that's inevitable.
Ugh...disappointed. Not with just the name, but the design. Too many lines and like some kid's 8th grade dream car was made a reality. I feel exactly the same btw about the P1 in regards to name and design. Give me an F40 and McLaren F1 anytime over those two. Not even a question.
