Nice list but good luck on those. Hoping that the uniformity in Cuba is better than what I've experienced because I've found terrible consistency in the Cohiba line.

    But enjoy Cuba!!!

I've never had consistency problems with Cohiba's from Cuba. Monte Cristo yes,and it was one of the main reasons why I switched to Cohiba along with the fact that I matured to a more full bodied cigar... Cohiba's in Cuba aren't mass produced like Monte Cristo's and other makes. They are one of Cuba's finest cigars money can buy. I can't speak for Cohiba's made outisde of Cuba ( Dominican Republic, etc...) as I only buy the real deal, cuban grown, cuban rolled...
However, if ever you are in the Miami area, you should got to Little Havana on 8th street or "Calle Ocho" as the locals call it. Lots of cuban master rollers, although the the leaves and wrappers are from anywhere but Cuba.... Very consistent quality. I buy smokes there every summer when I go down at El Titan De Bronze... It's one of the only non cuban grown cigars I'll smoke.

That's pretty sweet! I'm still working on my icebox-ador. Well actually my buddy with a full wood-shop is working on it. He's got a couple other projects to finish up then we will get to work on mine. Can't wait to finish it and show it off!!

I really like your idea too! Especially for car guys!

In the 1990's i did some production runs on this humidor
It is my creation as I patented the interior
    This one style is expensive
I was written up twice in cigar aficionado
I have another style same size yet less expensive
    Will post pics on monday
Still they are expensive and I would need a run of 10 to make it worth while

I've not had the pleasure of buying cohibas in Cuba but I've purchased them from different places around the world during my travels. Some, like the very first Siglo XI I tried, were stunning. Then others, like the Lancero I had a couple of weeks ago, were disappointing. Sadly, in my case, this inconsistency has been the norm with cohibas habanas. And all of them were purchased from reputable, cubatobaco licensed agents and thus my reluctance to spend large sums on a cigar that, to me, has been reliably inconsistent.

Though, after some experimentation with my favoured Monte2 and sourcing them from different purveyors, I'm going to be sourcing exclusively from Girard because I've found his quality to be stellar. So, I'll probably be giving the cohibas another run!

I don't get to Miami often, but the last time I was there, I found that Cuban Crafters placeon calle Ochoa. They had some decent and cheap smokes. I think I'm routing through MIA in May on the way to the DR, so ill be sure to visit El Titan! Any recs on places to eat and smoke there?

    Enjoy your trip!

You need to be careful where you source your cuban smokes. If a reseller doesn't have a good turnover or if the humidor isn't up to snuff, you may have problems with quality for sure... But that's for any cigar... My opinion on Cohibas is quite biased simply because it suits my tastes very well. I'm sure there are plenty of good cigars out there to try still, right now I'm on the Cohiba train !
There are no specific restaurants that I go to when I go to little Havana. The tradition with the boys is that we go early to avoid the heat, go for a tradtional cuban breakfast and then hit the cigar shops... If you go to El Titan or Gloria Cubana, they have a lounge to smoke in and at El Titan de Bronze, they will prepare traditional cuban espresso to have with your cigar... If you get hungry for lunch, you may want to try La Camaronera Restaurant & Fish Market, best red snapper sandwich I've ever had !
