Hopefully someone else will chime in as well, but looking at my plug books I show

NGK BR8EIX (5044) as NGKs stock option, this is Iridium. One heat range hotter is BR7EIX (6664)

Champion has a copper plug which is RA6HC (809), or one range hotter is RA8HC (810)

This is for the carbed 5000S 4.8 engine, and most applications for these are shown as motorcycle plugs. Hope that helps.

Thanks. I would like to stick to Bosch if it's possible.

I mean I can get them from my Porsche guy those are the exact plugs my 914-6 GT uses but it might take him a few days to get around to ship them to me.

I need them no later than Tuesday.

The 3.9 lambo shows a Bosch WR5DC. When I look up the 914-6 it shows a W4DPO, so basically the CT option is a resistor plug that is a little bit hotter than the 914 plug. I cannot get the specs for a 250 p21 as the number falls outside the normal spark plug "coding" to compare unfortunately. However all other suppliers besides NGK are showing the same plug to be used in the 400 and 5000.

My 914-6 is a factory twin plug race car. It's not your average 914-6.

I would expect no less from you. That is a nice set up! There is a pretty nicely restored yellow GT local to me that the guy drives a good bunch, loud as piss, I guess he is still running the racing exhaust. Cool little cars, interesting story on them too.

FYI, these types of clutch are excellent for reducing inertia in the engine, making the engine a lot more responsive. The down side is it is also a lot easier to stall the engine when pulling away from a stop. Slipping the clutch to compensate is also very bad for the clutch. These clutch's simply do not have the thermal mass of a single plate clutch so they overheat very easily, much easier than a stock Countach clutch. It is best to treat these types of clutch's as an on or off switch, if you don't they have a very short life. So it may be cheaper but there is a high likely-hood that you will be changing twice as often. As in most things there are trade offs, you have to pick what is most important to you.

    Cheers Jim

    Thanks for the feedback Jim!

When I replaced my clutch a couple years ago, I went with factory OEM, since I had heard the same thing you described above was also indicative of the Kevlar clutch too. I decided to stay with the OEM since I just don't abuse clutches. No jackrabbit starts, no burnouts, etc...

I was bored, so..... I decided to do my own Alpine head unit install. The other fancy stuff I'm going to have someone professionally do during the summer when I go to FL.

Can someone kindly tell me what the purple wire is for?

I know black is neg and the triple blue is positive. (and if I'm wrong please correct me)

I don't want to burn up a brand new NOS 7903-J

I took out that Blaupunkt with the gooseneck out in favor of the Alpine 7903 with the cooper chassis.

I was saving 7903J to put in my Porsche but I think the Blaupunkt will probably better than the Alpine.

@Raymond (or anyone that has ever taken out their dashboard)

I've looked at Raymond's pictures on how he removed his dash but mine is slightly different because it's a 5000s.

I would like to change the light bulbs on my gauges and re-do the upper half of my dash.

Can I take out the gauges without taking out the entire dashboard?

I fiddled with it for an hour and it seems like a biatch to just remove the gauges as it hits the steering column when it's about half way out.

    Any suggestions?

YOu must pull the steering column completely down, I installed the gauges after installing the dashboard, since you need to attach the wires...

The title says: Brief introduction of no. 4 of 10 best cars. The article in Chinese did not state where the car is. It is RHD, QV, DD Countach as you can see in the photos.

    Thanks Raymond.

I didn't notice that you pulled down your steering column.

Other than those 2 bolts on the top part of the dash in the holes which I'm assuming are either a 6 or 8 MM and those annoying little black screws what else is holding the dash in?

I don't want to force anything and break something.

That glove box was a joke 2 little black screws on that tube was all that was holding mine. It was nicely wedged in there.

I'm in the process of ordering the black leather hide for my dash from Sant'Agata.

What type (cow or bull) what thickness, what grain, and how many hides should I buy?

    5000s

I would like to know the above info so I can buy the leather no later than Tuesday so I can have it on hand by next week sometime.

I don't want to go thru the trouble ordering from Italy and get the wrong leather, that would suck.

I used standard conolly type leather.
BTW: I don't know what the wire are for, I removed the entire radio crap from my car, saved around 20kKg.

lol Raymond it's not like we can hear the radio anyway.

I do listen to the radio when I'm sitting in my garage working on my cars.

Raymond how many hide did you buy? Or better said how many yards/meters of leather should I order?

Raymond take a look at this and tell me what you think?

Too much material? Is it the right leather?

Lambskin Leather 12 Hides Soft Premium Black 90 Sqf | eBay

I get a better deal from Fadi outside of eBay.

I've used him before on another project that it was not important or critical as my CT and his leather & service was superb.

Double check with the guy doing the work, but I'm not sure the lambskin pelts are large enough to go across the whole dash. They might be able to be stretched, but lambskin is a lot thinner than cow, softer as well usually though.
