+1 However, I'm almost certain that it had been reshown more than 5-10 times by this time. Call me Pangloss Cheers, Ian
After all is said and done (I've looked on their site), are they going to broadcast live the practices, qualifying and the race? How about replays? I am not seeing much of anything on their site. Thanks.
Practice is on 3/14 at midnight and1:30am Quali is on 3/16 at 2:00am (repeat 1:30pm pm sun 10:30 PM) Race is live followed by F1 Recap. (Race rerun Monday 12am).
Where are you? What TV package do you receive? If NBCS in the States current understanding is FP1,2, qualy & race are all live. FP3 will stream on their site. I don't claim to know, but suspect the whole "show" will be replayed for a week or so - The preview show is *still* playing I believe! Cheers, Ian
I use the xfinity iPad DVR app for schedule. Dish has something similar according to their ads. Love those Hoppah guys.
All times Eastern!... And is "Monday 12am" just after 23:59 on Sunday, or 23:59 on Monday? Cheers, Ian
AZ. I get the NBC sports channel. Its just tough to find much of anything related to F1 on their site.
Please answer the question........ Seriously, I have no idea when "12:00am Monday" happens...... Cheers, Ian
Oh, you're ****ed!..... The rest of us just ****ed with our clocks - Dunno why - And the UK will **** with theirs soon.... No wonder the TV can't keep up. Cheers, Ian
starting sat i'm showing second practice followed by qualy then a half hour pre race show then the race itself which is followed by something called f1 extra. looks promising speed is countering with coverage of sebring
Not to me.... Is that one minute after 23:59 on Sat, or one minute after 23:59 on Sunday? Both are legitimate IMO...... Cheers, Ian
Ummmm...Viewer satisfaction has never been a priority with Comcast. Don't expect it to improve since their profits are being squeezed after acquiring NBC Universal. They'll do what the bean counters tell them to do. I expect we'll be lamenting the day Speed lost the bid. I hope I'm wrong.
As do I. You never know until you try. Comcast may not care but there might be someone at NBC sports who'd be interested.
NBC is Comcast's ***** I doubt anyone at NBC is going to buck what their Comcast masters decree. The thing about Speed is that it is (ostensibly) a channel for gearheads. NBC Sports, on the other hand, has to please a broader audience, of which I'm guessing that F1 viewers are a relatively small part.
No corporation is a monolith. NBC Sports picked up F1 for a reason and its in their interest to make a go of it. Some young guy looking to make good might actually listen. Unlikely, but until you try you don't know and if you don't try you don't get to *****.
The website content is slowly getting better, although the format could use somework. The following link from their site shows all the practice, qualifying and race coverage times: NBC Sports Group F1, IndyCar coverage for 2013 - Motor sports- NBC Sports
And they did that because more people wanted to watch the pickup than the F1 cars. Being an F1 fan here is like being a soccer fan, only with less name recognition. Still, I think that until NBC shows bad faith, we have to presume that they're going to give it a solid whirl. As someone else mentioned, that show's been running for weeks -- the pawn show, maybe not so often.
Qualifying is no longer showing up on my digital cable guide, only practice and the race. Anyone else?!?!
Directv? Here's what I'm seeing. All times Pacific; FP1; 21:00 - 22:30 FP2; 22:30 - 24:00 Both tonight (Thurs) of course. Friday / Sat 'The Grid' 22:30 - 23:00 Qualy; 23:00 - 00:30 Sat /Sun (Happy now! ) F1 pre race; 22:30 - 23:00 Race; 23:00 - 01:00 'F1 extra'; 01:00 - 01:30 Scanning the guide also reveals they're going to replay everything a few times too. Cheers, Ian
