    Shift shaft. How much? Doesn't look like anything to worry about.

    It is leaking a lot from the rubber boot. I wiped it down to take the picture.

    If it is the shift shaft, then replacing it is pretty easy. There's a thread on here about it. It's a seal and the boot. I'm guess about an hour of work. I did it about a year ago & have a thread on it too.

    Yes I have seen more than one 355 with this leak. Pretty easy fix.

    I just had mine replaced while it was at the dealer for some other things. Seal and dust boot were a couple of hundred bucks, labor was about 2 hours. They also had to replace the cross member underneath; it was bent from (presumably) someone using it as a jack point. Common repair on our cars.

    The boot is $80 and the seal is $3.67

    Two hours might include replacing the crossmember.
