Well, after looking at both 360's and 997's after I sold my '84 308, I finally made the decision and bought a 2010 Porsche Carrera S. Bought it from a dealer in another state and drove it home today (about 200 miles). Car was a CPO vehicle with 12K miles on it.

I couldn't find a 360 with the specs I was looking for and I wanted a car I could enjoy on a daily basis.

First impressions: I can see now why 911's have lasted the test of time. This car is awesome. The whole package comes together in a great driving experience. The ride is much better than I expected. The handling and power are really satisfying. The DFI in the '09-'12 cars make a big difference.

I'll admit, this car doesn't have the visual effect of a 308 (the best looking car ever IMO), but the overall driving experience is so much better. I wish I had room for both but my wife already thinks it is a challenge to get in and out of the driveway.

I kept the 308 for four years. Will probably do the same with this car and then try something new. Hmmm...better start looking now.

PS: I have the OEM Cat and a test pipe. If anyone is interested in buying them, just send me a note.

I'll always stick with Ferrari. My next move would be a Testarossa or Boxer. That would be in addition to my 308 which I plan on never letting go of until death makes me :)

Good choice with the Carrera, but I went GT3. Anyway after the 308 you'll need lots of cash because the only thing that matters is a 288GTO.

I have had my 308 since 1999 and will most likely put it on the market next summer. Although I would like to get a testa or 355 my days of going in this direction are limited by costs and comfort and age. It's time for me to return to my Jaguar days for a daily driver that I don't need to fear rain or snow. Something in a newer model used XK8/R roadster with all of the creature features. We'll see how this plays out as I reach age 70. Oh I also need something that carries 2 sets of clubs.

    Well...over 13 years;
    I went from 1979 308 GTS, to a 1988 Porsche 930, to a 1991 Testarossa, to a 2009 Carrera 4S, to now a 1998 F355F1 Belinetta...
My advise, buy what moves you. They were all fabulous in their own way, but think the 355 has been the most fun...so far. There are still quite a few more on my bucket list and they are not all Ferrari...next Fcar though will be a 2004 CS

    ...good luck choosing

I started out with a 1981 308 for one year, then a 1983 308QV for five years, a 1983 512BBi for five years and currently have a 2000 550 Maranello that is coming up on the five year mark.

I need to figure out what to get next....

I have had a lot of Porsches, I really miss my 911s. When I sell or trade my 84 308GTs it will be for an air cooled 911. I would trade my 308 for a 964 C2 or 993 of equal value and condition.
    Enjoy your new 911.

I think a 997.2 GT3 might be one of the few cars that could get me to leave the Fcar fold. They're fantastic cars... only a hair off of a Scud performance wise and nearly half the price.

I have had a 348SS for a few years and have now had the 83 308QV for about 3.5 years. If I ever do sell it I will buy a Testarossa.

Either black with tan or White with Red.

Just added a 1949 Caddy and so far I love it.
