Interesting first race. Ferrari really needs to get on their qualifying pace, they have great race pace. Same for Lotus, but obviously the race pace was plenty!

Red Bull finishing 22 seconds off and Merc 45 off. Not a bad race for either, just interesting that both qualified so well! Neither seemed to have bad tire issues, they just didn't have the pace.

This will be an interesting season. Night all.

Australia has not been too kind to the boys in red in the past. This is a really good start-- on top of the Constructors points and their first podium.

Both F cars have their race starts dialed in. The cars just flew off the line.

Give Kimi a lot of credit though. The ice man knows how to drive.

I guess Hamilton was being candid about how the Merc compares to the top 3 cars...not quite there but good result in 5th place.

For all of the "Clifford II" talk in the pre-season, I think Ferrari may have the best all-around car on the grid.

The RB definatley has tire issues. Was fast everytime with new tires but dropped off quickly.

Yes. I think the RBR seemed to lose grip after only a couple of laps. Maybe it wasn't such a great idea to run so little rear wing.

I think we can now acknowledge that Hamilton's decision doesn't seem so bad any longer.

    Great win for Kimi :D

    Ferrari 2nd and 4th :D

Vettel didn't have the race pace...

Lewis did well considering he is in a new team... etc etc.

    Webber did better in a Minardi :( :( :(

Sutil considering he has been away from the sport has done well to get into the points ahead of his teammate.

Button back to the drawing board

Gro... he didn't hit anyone :)
