Joe that's my car in the backround! My car spent its first few years in AZ and you can not mistake my gottis as no other CT I know has that color gold (solid gold satin stars) I know for a fact that is my car.
I just went out to my trailer and shot this pic. If you notice the gotti rims on every countach you'll notice silver on the star. Go look at Walter Payton's car so you can see what I'm talking about. Mine is the only one that has that satin solid gold color. Image Unavailable, Please Login
How cool is that! How did you come up with that pic. That pic has to be at least 20 years old if not older. If you have any more please share!
That's why I posted it. The image is from circa 1988-89, I was researching some 25th Anniversary stuff in my archives and came across what I felt certain was your car. I don't have any specific history on it though. And yes you are right, Sweetness' Countach did not have gold wheel centers. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice set up Mike. Love those craftsman 12V battery backup belt drive garage door openers. I installed those a little while back, sweet. Oh yea, the cars are cool too Must be a guy thing.
How did that pic of my car come about? ....And the timeline is about dead on which is pretty cool. So that pic is about 25 years old. Like I've stated all along I have documentation that my car had gotti rims going to July 1984. At least this picture shows the car sometime in 1987 to maybe 89 with the same exact wheels. I'd like to know the exact year that pic was taken and what did Wallace do to it. How cool is that.
Hey Larry, that garage is way too neat. I need to spend a day in it. lol I tinker way too much and have too many different interests to keep a neat garage. I have a corner of my garage dedicated to making flies for fly fishing so you can imagine how many boxes of different kinds of feathers I have stacked up. In another corner I have a bench that I set up so I can work on my offshore fishing reels. Then you have all the car crap I've collected over the last 25+ years. I had to build an upstairs just for the tire/rim collection I have. I have an 8 car garage in the back (mine) + a 3 car garage in the front (wife's cars). The way I've outgrown my garage, I'm going to add another 10 car addition to the back garage next year. I suggested to my wife that we add lifts to her garage so I can put another couple of cars in there, but she said NO.
That's the difference between a historian and a used car salesman. That picture does deserve a bow. Red car & yellow(ish) leather black carpet behind/between the seats and satin solid gold gotti rims with black bolt covers. There's no denying that's my car. By the way what is the color of my leather. It's not tan it's not champagne, is that color magnolia? Here's a pretty good pic of the color. Don't laugh that's my goofy kid waking me up @ 3am wanting to go sit in HIS car before I started to tear out the dash. Look at the smile he always has when he sees that thing. I know I know Nice hair! I guess I can always say it's my best Ron Jeremy impersonation. lol Image Unavailable, Please Login
Excuse the middle finger in the pix not meant for anyone here. I had to do that to show all my haters on L..Power. Mainly when Vapor Boy aka Allan Herpie pissed me off. A few guys mentioned (some are here also) that I was a dreamer didn't have the cars I have + I didn't have a 10 car garage, and did NOT buy the CT. Currently I have it set up as an 8 car that has 8 cars + I keep my inshore boat which is my pride and joy inside with my cars. So technically I could fit 11-12 cars in there without any lifts and have plenty of room to open doors without hitting walls or other cars. Oh yeah I didn't mention to those fools, my garage also has a built in full size brick BBQ/smoker caja china that can do a full sized pig + a full sized bathroom so I don't have to dirty up the "ladies" room. lol I could only imagine what those fools might have said if I busted out with that. Oh yeah just in case Joe is wondering that IS my 88 E-28 Dinan ///M5 I know you have a soft spot for M5's = ) The other one is an original 4 door Euro M-Technic E-30 tricked out with an S38 Turbo motor that I bought new when I was 19. I'm 45 now. =P Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That quote belongs in the FChat Hall of Fame! Great picture, look at the joy on your son's face, you should treasure that one. I think the interior is indeed Magnolia. Best,
Well our Countachs are fairly rare in the grand scope of the automotive world, so there are few coincidences...
Whatever Wallace did to it in that time-frame (circa 1989) he kept it in good tune I think. Remember, he was The Father of the Countach, so to speak. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wallace in more recent times. The shirt label simply reads: "BOB". Classic. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Exotic Dreams poster series from the late 80s featured a number of different Countach from California including the 1984 San Diego-based LP500S that also was fitted with Gotti wheels, Emilio's Countach is the white/red car. lol I had one of those fools stalking at what I buy on eBay and one of them commented did you see that $3500 skillet he just bought. Emmmm wrong the big one was $3800 and the little one was $2100. So.... I did this..... lmao Image Unavailable, Please Login
He's had that same smile only bigger since the day he laid eyes on it he was only 2 he's going on 6 in May. He actually saw and touched the car before I did. The garage was up about a foot next thing you know my mom said oh shiet there goes Enzo. (His name is Enzo Ferruccio (no lie) lol I named him that long before he was born but momma altered it a bit and added Luke to it at the hospital) I was freaking out thinking ah oh there's going to be a dent or two by the time we lifted the garage door. By the time we opened up the door all the way that poor child was hugging the tire you pictured Joe, and was screaming DADDDDDY COUNTACH. SOLD! How can I say no to that. At that point I didn't care if the car ran or if it was a POS. I can't wait til the day he's old enough to drive it and takes me for a spin for a change. I'm also going to remind him that he crapped his pants the moment he sat in it and grabbed the steering wheel. He was that eggs-sited.... lmao
And yet there are some today who try to lessen his involvement of this and the early cars - its all Dallara and Stanzani and Bob was just some hanger on..
Thankfully there's no mods on my engine. I am curious why was it at his shop being almost a "brand new car" probably 1k to 2k km's according to my time line.
