Service in tidewater?

I am moving to Williamsburg at the end of the month and bringing the 550 with me. Does anyone know of any competent service shop in hte Tidewater area for our cars?

I think your best bet is to send the car to Competizione or Foreign Cars Italia, that's what everyone down here does as far as I know.

It'll be good to have another Ferrari in Williamsburg, there's a pretty decent enthusiast community around here.

 

Lutzo at LMN Motorsports in the Lynnhaven area of Va Beach is excellent. He maintains my neighbor's Boxer and is going to do the major on my 348. He also recently did engine and belt work on my 944 and he was about half the cost of other mechs. Honest, straight up guy who knows his stuff...and he's also a bass player

I live in Lanexa, AV, a few miles up the road toward Richmond from Williamsburg. I do most of the minor maintenance on my 328 myself. For serious work, I take it to Sport Auto in Summerfield, NC. That's where I bought it and they have a Ferrari wizard there.

Based on everything I have ever heard, much if it first-hand info, about Competizione or Foreign Cars Italia, I would be agreeable to taking mine to either of them.

I have found a couple of "foreign car" shops in the Williamsburg area but, when I visited, they told me that they do not work on Ferraris and do not even carry routine maintenance parts, like oil filters, for them. As best I can tell, in this area, the term "foreign car" really means "German Car."
