that's not what Aircon has been banging on about here
his message, as far as I understand, is - no matter what year/colour/condition/price the car is, as long as it's an import - almost no-one is interested in buying it, especially if it's a MHOS

Who says they're not selling? Mate sold his import 328 recently.

That's a very high price though.

    Great for the seller.

i reckon for 360s the situation is somewhat different: there are so many imports it almost makes no difference anymore. if you're after a particular colour/options/etc, then there's a good chance you can only have an import

I believe if there is a buyer for this type of car, then that buyer SHOULD have his/her head screwed on enough to have looked at the field available and make their choice on the day.
That auction has been advertised for long enough for such a buyer to do that.
Does anyone know the particulars re this car?

If it was an '2 low klm's,full tools and books, condition etc, then I don't think it was that bad a buy.If it sold at that price then an astute buyer must have had a reason to go ahead.

Mind you,it could have been a passing hairdresser, latte sucking, wannabe as well!

ive found the issue with selling a personally imported vehicle is that the number of prospective buyers is proportionately far less than the number of prospective buyers for an australian delivered example. lets take a 360 as an example, you advertise for a fair price and you may receive 8 inquiries over three months. if you advertise it as an import, you might get 1. if its not mentioned in the ad that its an import, maybe 7 will be not interested straight up irrespective of how good the car presents. yet it appears that 50% of the 360s advertised at the moment are personal imports?? if you are buying a 360 and want the cheapest, then you'd import one yourself wouldn't you? buyers claim the following when shopping an import......

    -its an import.
-hard to sell in the future.
-hard to substantiate any service history/repairs, speak to the po or the selling/maintenance shop
    -rust
    -compliance issues
-wish to *crunch* the price on the assumption it was imported to make a profit

all the above, may or may not be valid reasons, but the fact is, that doesnt matter, they are the reasons that buyers shun personally imported cars. of course they all come from the same factory, but its a buyers market, plain and simple.

possibly in the future, lower productions models like a 360 challenge stradale will sell solely on their mechanical and cosmetic strengths. currently, i would not wish to be offering any personally imported car in the current climate unless it was a classic. i would buy an import if it was the specification i wanted and i would use all the above to hound the seller to lower the price, despite most of the points above not being important to me. ive used the 360 as an example, but the above applies to any late model import.

    Offenders risk losing their licence

Here is an interesting social conundrum.

Is it reasonable to suspend or disqualify drivers for attacking fellow motorists in 'road rage' ?

" Courts granted sweeping new powers to cancell or suspend drivers licences for any conviction or finding of guilt for any offence - not just driving offences - in a bid to crack down on road rage cases".

The Attorney General quoted as saying; "This means the offender who gets into a brawl after a road rage incident may have thier licence suspended or cancelled."

A spokesman for the Napthine Government also quoted; as "committed to tackling lawless behaviour in the most effective ways possible".

I would have to say I support the proposal, in principle; as an effective deterent.

And I would agree since it was, effectively,a driving offence.

    This car had 27,000 klm's.
If you check low to high on carsales you'll find all the other 360's,starting from the cheapest, are minimum 40,000 klm.
I know that doesn't mean it's the best but it's a pretty good start.

the car is a UK import - most likely 27,000 miles. in the same ballpark as other cars.

And how right you are,I had a ride in an Fi spider.......................bloody awful.
Sounded like a bunch of raging mosquito's behind yer head plus it was uncomfotable and bumpy.
Not fun for Klink, but then I'm an old fart who would prefer comfort, speed and style.

So the speedo simply has a new face, rather than being swapped for a km unit ?

Each to their own in relation to style, but SPEED?

Which FEOHOS is faster than an F360?
