I NEED TO PURCHASE AN IGNITION KEY FOR MY 360...I CALLED THE NEWPORT BEACH CALIF. FERRARI SERVICE AND SAN DIEGO FERRARI... BOTH SAY I MUST GET AN OFFICIAL LETTER FROM MY FINANCE CO...WELLS FARGO BANK...AUTHORIZING ME TO GET A KEY FOR MY CAR FROM FERRARI...THEY ALSO NEED THE VIN # .... SO FAR, WELLS FARGO CONSUMER DEALER SERVICES SAYS THEY DON'T KNOW IF THEY CAN DO THAT...I AM WAITING TO HEAR FROM THEIR LEGAL DEPARTMENT. ANYONE EXPERIENCE THIS????? ANY ADVICE?

    ALSO...

I SAW A PIC OF THOSE WATER DAMAGED FERRARIS...I NOTICED IN THE ENGINE BAY, THERE IS A THICK PIECE OF RUBBER RUNNING ALONG THE TWO METAL ENGINE SIDE PANELS...I THINK ITS FOR WATER RUN OFF... ANY INFO. ON THESE? WHAT THEY ARE, CAN I GET THEM?

    THANK YOU

    1. Don't use Cap Locks - it's equivalent to shouting and frowned upon.

    2. You can have your ignition key copied by any half decent key cutting service. If you've lost all your keys then that's a different matter and one on which I cannot advise as I've not been there but I'd imagine your dealer should be able to sort you out (albeit with a bit of proof of ownership hoops to jump through).

    3. I don't know what parts you are looking for, I'd suggest you look up a parts diagram on-line (Ricambi America for example). Alternatively, post a pic with the parts you're asking about circled?

As Greg mentioned above, key copies are easy. Just get a blank (FT46 I think but don't hold me to that..) and take it to local hardware store. Lost keys.. and I presume your modena only came with one key? That's a stealership issue and I presume they want to confirm ownership and that's going to come from your bank if they hold the title.

Second the rain gutters. When you said that you didn't have them in yours I presumed it was a 1999. Early cars didn't have the rain gutters on either side of the engine. All that they do is collect and divert water that drips down.

You might... might have to order a new set. There is a drainage tube at the back of both that may be welded in place. Just try ebay or call any of the used parts guys. They can hook you up with a set. You might be able to find a dented set from an accident that has the gutter cheap. There are bolts/screws that old the channel onto the trim, you might have to drill your trim panels.

if you have a key, any locksmith can make a new one.

if you have lost all keys a GOOD locksmith can make a new one and that will likely be cheaper than the dealer since I assume you also do not have the key code.

What rain gutter ? my 99 has a gutter on the engine side panels, is it something different ?

First and foremost: Let me apologize for the "caps".... no insult intended...Just a bad habit!
Next: You are all fantastic! Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions...sometimes I feel kinda "dumb" after reading all your informative threads. The good news is with your help, I am learning!
I will get my key blank and have a locksmith cut me a new key...Then I will send my alarm FOB to Gobble...hope he still has them in red!
Finally....You are correct, my car is a 1999..I love it... it is just sad the exotic dealership I bought it from are pathetic.
My engine compartment side panels are smooth, no rain gutters.
my 360 Modena also has aluminum colored foil paper that runs below the passenger area rear window...I saw a photo some where that shows a solid black metal piece . I would love any thoughts on who may have those. Im not even sure what it is called.

Once again...Thanks for your help and patience!

Early 360's had no rain channel on the engine bay trims. They are not available as a spare part, you need to change the whole trim.

No worries Anthony, we all started like you too.

Once again, I'm not sure what you're referring to in relation to the aluminium foil paper.

Can you take a photo and post? (A picture tells a thousand words you know!)

Congrats on the car, it'll probably try break your heart at some stage, but mostly it will be a great pleasure.

Since Ferrari's only have one key for all locking mechs and you can access the interior of your car. Take your glovebox lid out of the car and any locksmith can cut you a key by using the pins within the glovebox lock.

Well....Part one solved... I have access to blank 360 keys.. and they work in my car!

Now...if my local locksmith cannot handle my alarm fob issue...I will be contacting Gobbler on Monday!

All of your help was very touching!!! Hope I can return the favor!

Anyone have advice about dyeing leather in my car? Just some accent areas...armrest, parking brake boot, section of steering wheel...
