He did LOADS of service work to the new cars in the 80s. No surprise.

The front was already done by the previous owner...just the back had not been done...so now both ends are free of USA Bumper stuff...

I am sure it can be put under a micro scope and find a bolt or something that is not in the EXACT correct OEM Factory finish and/or location

Just got in this new 2013 Areil Atom..just took this pic...kinda of neat

Ah OH! Bolt or something that's NOT OEM 20k deduction 10k for not the incorrect finish. lol

In all seriousness I got the correct copper rivets yesterday. They sure are pretty & very heavy.

I cant see from that out-of-focus pic you have posted, but, isn't the front end still like this below?

If so, then it is sporting a European Countach 25th Anniversary front bumper, with USA front splitter & driving lamps below that, a combination of Eu & USA which happens to be fairly popular due to its ease of application.

To go to a European front end, the single-piece Eu bumper-splitter would have to be applied. I think George Evans has these.

    Thought so.

Having spent time & expense to create a 1988 Euro rear end, you might as well do the same for the front end.

I tend to prefer the US rear end “cover”. It makes the car appear lower and meaner, not to mention it was the first “look” I ever saw in person way back when.

    Referred to here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/141906605-post15514.html

If I was in the market for a car and this was one on my radar I would have asked that you didn’t remove it. But that’s just me ;)

The nice thing is..if you are anyone else wants to retrun it back to that look...very easy to do as I have retained all the parts that were removed....problem solved...

I forgot about our little exchange on this subject, and, my feelings haven't changed.

Regarding the pre-25th Anniversary USA spec cars:

I don't mind the cars in full original USA spec (as below).

I also do like any Countach in full Euro spec, especially if it was made that way.

My personal feelings are if you are going to Europeanize a USA car, I think you should go all the way and do both ends, or else it looks half-done. At this point, with the trend towards Europeanizing USA cars, cars that are completely & fully done will always be more desired. In fact, a USA car that remains untouched will have appeal for some too. Either way, but if you must Europeanize, I say go all the way.

    very nice picture..

there is a quite decent 500s for sale in Germany. Looks unmoloested and few onwers. I wonder if the price is as high as the one for salein italy.
good carb cars for sale are becoming an endangered species.
