I have in my possession, saved from a garage sale ie the trash, a Rolex "Leopard Dial Automatic" in 18K Yellow Gold w/Leopard wrist band. I do not have the serial# as it is apparently hidden behind the clasp of the band and only a true "watch smith" should perform this task. The watch is in mint condition, I MEAN MINT AS WAS NEVER WORN!! I will be more than happy to get the serial# for serious buyers, taking offers. List price was $71,350.00.

The watch is identical to the one in the pics and has the Rolex imprint on the interior of the band aswell as the "Daytona" engraving on the underside ie belly.

Please pm me with any SERIOUS inquiries.

    Regards,
    Gregg

Now now don't hurt yourself, I kid! ;)

A friend of mine who is a gemologist and works for a very well known high-end jeweler here in Houston will be giving the watch a full inspection tomorrow. The watch is my mothers, she owns several Rolex's, and found it at a garage sale recently. She told me everyone else overlooked it because of the band etc etc but when she looked at it and found a few specifics she recognized "tell tale" signs of authenticity.

Anywho I just thought I would throw the ball.

If it has "Daytona" engraved on the underside I'd say it's a fake.

The serial number and model number are located on the watch case, at either side, in between the lugs which are hidden by the encrusted strap end pieces.

Yes sir we came to that conclusion but we do not have the proper tools necessary for gathering this information and as I said it is NOT my watch. Value, if it is authentic, would be diminished if scratched. Will know more tomorrow.

You said in your first post that the serial numbers were hidden behind the clasp.

Actually I said "I do not have the serial# as it is apparently hidden behind the clasp of the band and only a true "watch smith" should perform this task."

Anyway this is all mute until I get it inspected, no harm no foul.

Thanks and if the watch is REAL my mother is gonna 'pay off' all her bills, if we find a buyer, and get closer to her not having to work anymore it will be paradise. No financial gain for myself I just want my mom to have a "windfall" of sorts and have less stress on her that way she will be around longer and able too tell me "Your not doing that right!" :D

Please dont get your hopes up. Watches like these are not found in garage sales. And FYI, from personal experience, if this watch is the real thing it glistens and sparkles like nothing else. It's luster is unmistakable. It should be obvious.

Post pictures of the watch, the clasp, and angles of the dial. I own Rolex and will tell you if I see anything wrong.

Or go to a Rolex Authorized Dealer and they can pop the back of the case and identify the movement, test the luminance, and every other test to determine authenticity.

It makes no sense that a Daytona would be in the trash or a garage sale.

Relicas are illegal. They detract from the brand. If you have a replica take it to the police and file a report. Replicas violate the original manufacturers trademark. Help the police find where the replica came from.

This would eclipse my $50 rose gold Rolex bubbleback #3372, but I can't believe this watch will turn out to be genuine.

You should know that one of the two pics you posted is of a fake. So saying it looks like the pics isn't any verification. You should post actual pics of front and back.

Thats one of the reasons I think this might be working up to an April Fools joke.

Years and years ago, a Member mentioned a Rolex-alike with brand name of JOKER.

Based in SoCal, the emblem looked like a Jester Hat, and was inexpensive/cheap/call it what you may. I quite liked the concept & other Members may, as well.

Anyone here familiar with JOKER? (Graffiti doesn't count, nor does F-Chat um, tag team)

Interesting. Let's see how this plays out regardless.

The part that is puzzling to me is that OP doesn't even know if it's real, hasn't posted a pic, but is already soliciting offers from "serious" people only. Gregg, that's usually not how Rolexes are sold. And I have bought a few over the years through forums and such.

Yes, however I was responding to the OP saying that the serial number is hidden behind the clasp.
